Yeah we are hoping and praying that we get in! I'm so excited, I'm sure I won't be able to sleep tonight. Afraid I won't get up in time to get ready to call, maybe I just won't sleep at all tonight?!
We have so much do to tomorrow too. Hopefully we all won't be on hold too long.
We have been studying the layout to the ship and trying to see where we do and don't want to be. I think the only place I was thinking that I wouldn't want to be was below something loud. But I'm sure no matter the "bad" rooms are we can still enjoy ourselves.
I have no idea how we will be able to withhold all this excitement for a year, before sailing!
There isn't much difference b/w 8 or 9 right? We are thinking one of them, because we think a window would be nice. Originally when we have thought about going on the DCL we were looking into cat 7, to have the verandah. But with the member cruise being so much higher and this being our first time on and not knowing the difference yet, we figured to go up one. As of right now, we are thinking to request 9, (because it's less) then if we have to go to 10(although I will be sad, since it's an inside cabin), and then after that, we will go back down to the 8 if we have to(really didn't want to do this, because that would mean no trip next year, since it will suck up our points.)

Does anyone who has done this before know how the phone is answered on these 'Cruise Satudays'? I was curious if they just picked up the phone and said " Hi DVC reservations"? or if the voice reponse uint prompts were still there for todays event?

Apparently they answer right away!

I asked on the SSMC06 Meets board!

They have all done this before!

Anyone getting through?

I have 3 phones going...on 2 of them, it rang, then I got the "Welcome To Disney Vacation Club..."

I then press 3 and the phone stays connected but I just get dead air.

Am I on hold, or in limbo?

Well if you get through and have dead air, just stay on.....it finally switched me to a recording saying that they are booking for the cruise only today and to have the full names, birthday's etc of the passengers and a credit card handy.

Now it switched to ringing.....but no one is answering

I guess they are getting slammed....hope I don't get disconnected.


Edit.....after about 4 minutes of ringing, I finally got to their member cruise recording and the next available advisor will be with me "shortly" and I'm listening to the "Tiki Room" Music.....YEAH!

I finally got through, and I got dead air for awhile. Then it made a weird fax machine noise, went silent for a few seconds and hung up on me. After about 15 more minutes of redialing, I got through again and it did the same dang thing!

This is pretty aggravating, but I'm still trying.
