So, who here on this Universal/IOA board actually LIVES in Orlando?

Here's an idea for the person who asked about the Christmas Cards.
You can buy photo cards at Walmart now. I saw them the other day at my local WalMart at the register. I bet they would have them next to the Christmas cards also.
They are cards with the front cut out for you to put a photo in. If you pick them up you can address them at home and just add the photo once you find one you like.
Take a few family photos on rides and in front of the decorations, bring them to Walmart to make copies and put them in the cards and send them out. Or if you want to save some more money take the photos to Staples or Office Max and have them just make color copies. Honestly, I never save all the pictures that my friends and family send me of their families, so why go to the expense of photos? Peggie

Since there are a lot of locals on this thread I need to ask what are the best areas of the Orlando area to live. I may be moving there in the future. I have heard Winter Park and Altamonte Springs so far.

Also, where is the I-4 morning traffic located and for how many miles does it stretch out? I was in Kissimme last month and went to Universal using I-4 and found no traffic at 8:30am. I thought the traffic was real bad in orlando. Is it more toward the downtown area.

I live in Miami right now so I can't see it being anywhere near as bad as the traffic here.

Thanks

Traffic is bad going from North Orlando through Dowtown. The attractions don't get too crowded generally speaking. The Winter Park area is a nice area, that's where I'm at.

Thanks for the help. I gotta drive up to Orlando and check out the areas. I can't drive anywhere in Miami in the morning before getting into MAJOR traffic and I live 20 miles from Downtown.

I-4 Eastbound in the AM usually backs up around the 408
I-4 Westbound in the AM usually backs up around the St John's River Bridge

Some very good advice, there! :)

SSB lives in LBV, can see the Epcot Illuminations (and hear it) at night...

Heading to BeerFest on Sunday! :)

Hehehe...I can hear and see the same when I go up to the Public around the corner from me almost every night! The Downtown Disney lights are plain as day at my apartment. I took the backroad from my boyfriend's mother's house this evening and never realized how CLOSE the Contemporary Resort was to the road! Plus, whenever I take my daughter to Sea World, we always ride the tower up to the sky...you can see Tower of Terror at MGM, Spaceship Earth at Epcot, the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, and Space Mountain clearly. Very cool :)

I live an hour or so away, depending on traffic and weather.

I do IOA/US about every other week and WDW once or twice per week.

Winter Park is where I'd live. Of course, I can't afford it.

So I guess I'll have to move to Windemere, due west of UO. Ooops, wait, I can't afford that either. Tiger Woods drove up the property values.

Ah well, there's always the Graceland suite at HRH. No, wait...

Kelly,

LOL!!!! Don't feel bad....I can't afford it either!!! LOL......:p

What kind of prices are we talking about for Winter Park? You can't find a good home here in Miami for under 230k.

Try Naples!! We have to compete with Palm Beach for the most expensive house in Florida. It is over $30 million now.
