So where do the Soap Stars stay during Super Soap Weekend?

O.K. I finally figured out that we will be at WDW during Super Soap Weekend. I have watched General Hospital for ages but am not big on autographs or following the "stars". We plan to avoid MGM during the weekend (kids want to play the regular "Who wants to be a millionaire" not the Soap version).

What I was wondering was where do the Soap Stars stay during this weekend? Is there a resort that is a favorite or might I see some wandering around the Polynesian? Might be fun to see someone famous even at a distance.

If they stay onsite at all, my guess it would be at one of the deluxe resorts with at least some level of security in place. I think it's safe to say they probably won't ride the same bus as you to the parks. If I remember correctly, the time we were down during that week we saw a private bus (Disney) and Disney vans and they pulled right up to the gates, not into the bus stations.

I've read posts in the past that people say they have seen soap stars at the Beach Club, Boardwalk and Grand Floridian.

I saw several of them the day before the event began last year riding the rides. I saw Nicolas (GH) on ToT (boy was he a hottie) and saw others throughout the day at other parks. Not sure where they stay, but sure it's a delux. We don't go to SSW, but we are often there during that timeframe.

Stays at a suite at the Grand Floridian! The rest, I don't know, but anywhere BUT the ALL STARS!!

I have been to all of the soap weekends so far and going to this year's also. They stay at the YC/BC and BWI. Sometimes I have also seen them at the GF. Last year we booked the YC and most of them were there. It's such a great time for us but we are not ones to stand in autograph lines. We just like to see what they look like, hear the talk shows and watch the motorcades. If you are NOT a real soap fan, I always warn people to pick another park that day because it's really crazy Sat & Sun at MGM. Last year our neighbors were Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna with their children. All the soap stars are really open and cordial. Susan Lucci is one of the most gracious people I have ever met there. I am counting the days. Money is tight this year so it's CSR for us but at least we still get to go.

I too was at the YC last year during Super Soap weekend and Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna were on Conceirge, then we saw a few actors in the lobby (some guy from Port Charles). We kept having to look them up in the book they give you when you enter MGM.

Well I guess I'll find out. We are at the BC concierge (Nov 8-16) during that weekend so maybe will see some of them. Although I don't watch soaps so if it's not someone like Harry Hamlin or Susan Lucci I'll probabily be oblivious that they are a soap star.

Most of the time, they stay Concierge in the Deluxe resorts. The Grand Floridian seems to be very popular!

Suites at the Deluxe resorts with the Yacht Club, Grand Floridian and the AKL being the top favorites. Yacht Club and BW Inn get several due to the close proximity to MGM.
