If you click on the link in my sig "What's a Praying Colonel?" it explains in more detail. But it's not a military reference--it relates to my alma mater.
Another November 14 birthday! Don't tell me yours is also in 1990...
Mine is because I'm asexual (the orientation, not the biology class definition), and we sometimes refer to our symbol (which looks like this: http://th814.photobucket.com/albums/zz69/MercuryPheonix/LGBT Useful Pictures/th_150px-Ace-logo41.png ) as "the ace of aces," since "ace" is a term for asexuals, so that we also use ace cards as another symbol. (I'm actually considering getting a tattoo of the ace of spades because of this.) Interestingly, cake is yet another asexual symbol, so you can imagine the heyday we had when the show "Ace of Cakes" first came on TV.
It wasn't until after I registered here that I found out the phrase "the ace of aces" is also somehow related to aviation, so my apologies if anyone had concluded from that that I have a more interesting life than I actually do.
I have always thought redbud trees blooming in the spring were heartbreakingly beautiful. So when I finally built my first house I planted one in front of the window of my home office. I run a business from home and so I look at it every day. When I was looking for a signature I was thinking about how beautiful I find WDW and that led to thinking about how much I love WDW and how much I love redbud trees and so redbudlover is forever linked with Disney lover. Now I use the moniker in a number of different places.
