so what's a "3" day like?

I've been checking the crowd calender at Touring Plans this week every day as they are finally posting for our trip in September. So far it's all 2's and 3's, even a 1 on Saturday :cool1: What's a 3 day like? I know relatively speaking it's very light, but I hate crowds (makes it hard to be a Disney fan!). Touring plans says "Didn't really need the touring plan, we ended up riding some things twice with no wait" but then also says there could be a 60 minute wait for PP or a 80 minute wait for Soarin??? Seems somewhat contradictory. Obviously we'll FP some of the rides like Soarin (DW's favorite ride EVER) but....

They also say that even on a 1 day, waits could be 75 mins. Really??

It's like an old 6 or 7, the calendar changed back in the spring and the ratings means completely different things now. The big rides will have waits, the smaller rides will have very little waits or be walk on. September is pretty much like that all month, one of the slowest times to visit but the e-ticket stuff still has signficant wants during the day, use good touring practices such as arrive early, ride popular rides first and smartly use your FP's and you should be fine and fall into that category of hardly any waits, walked on stuff all day.

I was curious too since we were there in mid-July and it ranged from an 8-10 each day... and believe me-it certainly met the criteria with all the tour groups! :rotfl:

Tentatively going back for a few nights with my girls (very cheap airfare and 40% off the room!) the Sat-Wed. prior to Labor day weekend and it varies from a 1-3  Can't remember the last time I've been when it's not above a 7! :thumbsup2

i went september of 2008 and on the old calendar was generally 6-7 ( as somone else mentioned). wait times for peter pan, soarin and test track were up there at 60-75 minutes. toy story mania one day had 120 min wait ( this is when it had only been open about 5 months) most other things were walk ons or waits 10 minutes or less. we used fast passes for the mountain ranges, peter pan and jungle cruise at MK, soarin and test track at Epcot, toy story and indiana jones at dhs ( df wanted to see it and i didnt want to have to wait in the hot theatere that long) and at AK just for everest and kali. that said even the rides we used fp for we rode several times over. having a crowd of 3 will be just like that. you will have waits for headliners. so grab a fast pass and hop on another ride or take a break for a soda and snack ( it is pretty warm) but you will have the sidewalk to your self while your hoping ride to ride

hope that helps some

I believe when they list Peter Pan as having 75 minute wait that is during the peak times of the day. The wait will not always be that long, but it could be at the peak times. Early mornings the lines will be shorter and they will get longer as the park gets more crowded with more people arriving.

I just looked at this site for the first time. How accurate do you think there info is? I find it kind of strange that at a "1" crowd level there is a 55 minute wait for anything. A "1" to me would be 15 or 20 minutes. Thats what I'm used to anyway.

Keep in mind that TP refers to the posted wait times. There have plenty of times I waited in a line that said 60 minutes and was on the ride within the half hour...

Tp's crowd calendar predictions do go by posted times but if you have Lines the mobile app by TP it goes by actual wait times. It's great and pretty accurate.
