So, what WON'T you see at the parks?

OK, we all know what to expect when we visit the parks -- attractions, shopping, smiles, etc.

But, what won't DIS'ers see at the parks/WDW? A few quick items come to mind:
* chewing gum (for sale)
* straws (at least not at AK)
* thermometers - who really wants to know exactly how hot it is? (however, the Sassagoula River boats between POFQ/POR/DD did have thermometers).

What do others observe?

Mirrors in the bathrooms at the parks.

I always found it very strange that most of the bathrooms do not have mirrors.

Maybe people didn't want to see what they looked like after riding ToT or Splash Mountain for the 5th time????

That's weird...I never went into a single bathroom without a mirror (and we frequented quite a few!)....they were not in front of the sinks, but they were still there (I guess my vanity is showing )

I noticed the lack of straws (and drink lids) at AK, too....for the animals safety, so they say.

Unless it's a villian...I dont' think I've ever seen a "grumpy" or ill mannered character...they've all been sweet.

My daughter actually decided on the airplane trip to Disney that she DOES like gum. Before then she never liked gum. So in the candy shop in DTD we tried to buy gum and were told by the CM they don't sell it anywhere in WDW because of the mess. I had no idea

It is for the animals safety - unfortunately you cannot trust the visitors to the park to not throw their trash where the animals have access to it. Straws are a choking hazard. Busch Gardens and Sea World have the same policy.

Peeling paint, trash on the ground, gum stuck on trees and underneath tables, hornets swarming around garbage cans, employees with body piercings/tattoos, cheesy games (except in Dinoland), mud, clogged toilets....all the little details that make most other theme parks so magical...not!!
