The best: My Bob gave my a big Cinderella snowglobe from TDS. Its one of the prince kneeling by Cinderella, and a globe with mice and the slipper inside it. It plays "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes."
Second best "gift" is the white Christmas we are having! I think its great!

The worst: my grandmother sent me a bunch of "practical stuff", one of them is a hairbrush, which I dont really need!

My best gift was a cream whipper (co2 cartridges that automatically whip cream in the canister). Asked Santa for this... and he came through.

The worst gift this year was from the MIL. A set of king size sheets for our bed. I must be very uninspiring if that is all she could come up with - LOL! They are nice looking, good quality, and we can always use some new sheets... but geesh... I felt like the house got the gift ... not me. Oh well.

Best Gift: Toss up between a 2 pound box of my favorite chocolates which DH tracked down on the internet (it is a local, smal time candy maker in a state I lived in once) and a really sweet photo frame that my four year old made (she'd put a picture of herself inside it).

Worst Gift: I can't think of anything bad. Everything was so nice and very thoughtful this year.

In terms of thoughtfulness, this was the best year all around. I even noticed at the large family gathering that people got things that were quite special-- not just the generic off your Amazon wish list kind of thing. People were thinking very carefully about what would be meaningful. . .

Must say, however, that I'm still scratching my head over why my cousin's brother gave her "Birth of a Nation." That would be the weirdest (and worst) Christmas gift I saw.

My ex-husband (long story) sent me cordless mouse for my pc.

best:necklace from my boyfriend,FOTR on DVD from a aunt, and the holiday barbie from my mom

worst:no duds this year

got a lot of good gifts this year: lots of cash, a large stich plush, a Beauty and the Beast Snow Globe that has the princesses around it, and winnie the pooh, one hundred acre woods sheets, and more

none really bad, my Dad is trying to build up kitchen supplies for when I move out, and he accidentally bought the exact same sauce pan that he had bought the year before, but I will exchange it for the right size, no big deal.

Best - can't decide! if i have to, the shower cd player/radio Santa brought me

Worst - earrings, only because my ears aren't pierced! they used to be, but they closed up :( (but they were sent to me from my foreign exchange student sister's family in GREENLAND, so I still love them. :) )

Best: New PINK computer chair!! My 6 yr old DD picked it out for me - I absolutely love it!

Worst: Set of 4 brown coloured drinking glasses from my brother. He always gives me really amazing gifts - and this year there was NO thought into it at all - while the rest of my family got AMAZING gifts from him. I was kinda insulted - wondering what I have done wrong!

Best: DD went through all my CDs and picked out my absolute favorite songs of all time. She burned them onto a CD and named it; 'The Best Mom Ever Collection'. That along with the Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle she bought, made my day.

Worst: Well, it wasn't really that bad, but DH got me slippers and a 6 month supply of wrinkle cream. I'm letting it slide because last year he did so great in picking out my gifts. (Can't win em all... ;))

I did not get any of those gifts this year that you wonder what the person was thinking about when they purchased. :)

One of my children purchased us special luggage in luggage for our up coming trip to Italy. We will be traveling by train on the second half of our trip. It's tall, narrow luggage with a carry on inside the luggage that will be removed and packed with our breakable's for the return flight home.

Best was a homemade refrigerator magnet from DS - he really did an amazing job and I will treasure it forever.

Worst was the box of leftover Halloween candy also from DS - but it was a nice thought! He didn't think there were enough gifts for me this year so he added a few :D

The best gift was the griddle my son bought me to match my Caphalon pans. Now teh funniest gift I got my from Williams and Sonoma, a stainess steel cream whipper (of couse I had to look it up on the puter, it is 68 dollars with the parts that go with it) . My brother bought me that so I can use it with the new smoothing machine he bought me. Now the smoothie machine is something I will use but the cream thingy I won't use much, talk about fattening. I had just got through bragging about how I got down to my goal weight and I opened that, I almost laughed. I am having them all over agin for leftovers, I always cook enough for an army plus they want to see my sons big screen TV, it is getting delivered this afternoon, I am excited about that until I get the first months installment. LOL

Best: DS's friend reconciled with his family:D ; we had a really nice Christmas meal with family and friends

Worst: the snowstorm:( DH has a private plowing business. The phone calls started yesterday afternoon, and I've been getting one about every 5 minutes since early this morning. He does about 100 driveways, and everyone wants to be the first one plowed out:rolleyes:

Best: My DH got me Lasik surgery! I've been wanting to do this, so I guess now I have no excuse. I'm scared of it, though!

And since that wasn't a very romantic gift, he also gave me some roses.

Worst: None! I like all of my gifts this year.

Best-All of them including my new digital camera and all the accessories :D from DH. Loved what the kids made for me and picked out for me. Cash from my parents was a great surprise:cool: !
We all got some great surprises this year:D

Best: When DH and DD went to London 2 years ago they brought me home some tea that I really liked. DH found it on the internet and got me more of it. Best part was I didn't even ask for it. How thoughtful.

Worst: not bad but needs to be returned. DH and MIL each bought me a food processor. Now I have to decide which one to return.

Best: I have two, one is the candle my granddaughter made for me in school. Of all the gifts under the tree she ran to that one first, proudly brought it over to me and anxiously watched as I opened it. I will treasure it forever. :) The second best are the diamond stud earrings DH gave me. :)

Worst: None. :)

Best: cash/grocery store gift certificate. I know a lot of people don’t like to give/receive cash or gift certificates, but in my family it’s quite common and everyone is happy with it.

Worst: chocolate – not that I don’t like it, but I got so much of it. I’ll probably wind up bringing some to work to get rid of it.

I had a great Christmas--we got ourselves a digital camera before our Disney trip--which we also try to consider a gift. The kids got me lots of BBW type stuff. Parents got me DVD of Silly Symphonies and Hard Day's Night special edition. We also got a shredder--since DD#1 is almost 11--we figure it is time (gulp) to go through that suitcase of our dating love letters in the basement!!
Also DH got me a CD radio alarm clock with a brighter, bigger time display for my very nearsighted eyes--and now I can wake up to a CD!! Plus we will give my boom box (what an 80s term!) to my DS so he can play his Disney readalong books.
No really bad gifts--the in-laws didn't buy for the adults this year, ha ha!!
