So... What park Sat April 2nd?

Originally, when I put together my touring plan, I though our first day at Disneyworld would be perfect, as it is a Saturday, and thus recommended for low crowds. Plus, there is just something magic about bein in MK to start your trip (We arrive from the west April 1st). We are staying off Disney property, so EMHs are not available to us even we wanted to do them, which I am not sure we would. We have my husband and I and our two kids 2 and 5.

However, technically, Sat. April 2nd is the last day of the big "week after Easter" holiday crowds, and I am not excited at all about being in MK at Max compacity. They have extended the hours huge anticipating the hordes of people, and that makes me nervous.

While ideally I would love to be in MK to begin the magic, I just cannot imagine being there with so many people I cannot see. That is not magic.

So, where to? I am open to suggestions! Do you think all the parks will still be crazy on Sat? Should we just stay at our resort?

According to Disney when I call them at 407-824-4321, April 2nd will have an EMH morning at both MK and AK. The previous 13 mornings will be EMH at MK also. I would choose either MGM or Epcot. Epcot has its EMH evening on Friday night, so if I had to choose one park; I'd probably choose Epcot for Saturday. Good Luck with your planning. I'll be there 3/31 thru 4/7.

FYI, although I've really enjoyed this site, the best days part reports that it was last updated on Feb 09 '05. There's been a lot of MK EMH and park hours since then, so not sure how closely one should still follow these recommendations -- at least not until/if they are updated.

And, OP, hard decision about whether or not to go to MK on your 1st full day. Think I'd be tempted to at least try MK but then clear out and hit Epcot.

I will arrive in the wee hours or Saturday morning and I'm leaning towards MGM ending the night at MK.
