Like that technical term "yummiest"? :goodvibes
So as I have had gastric by-pass I'm probably going to be dining from the children's menu quite a bit. At least on days wher I just don't feel like leaving most of my meal behind and nothing is more appealing on the regular menu.
SO my question is in people's opinions, what are your favorite restuarants that have a wider variety and fun children's menus? I know I can look at a site and SEE the menus but I'm wondering what people out ther really LIKE from personal experience? :thumbsup2 Love PERSONAL experiences. ;)
Thanks VERY much in advance!

My kids enjoyed Planet Hollywood, because they had spaghetti and meatballs, DS fave, it was very good. Also, Whispering Canyon Cafe, my other DS got to enjoy a kid sized version of the skillet. I know from the adult portion that everything on it is delicious! :) They enjoyed this much better than traditional chicken nuggets and pizza.

Several World Showcase restaurants have good kids' menus that are just smaller portions of the ethnic foods on the regular menu. Also, at 50s Primetime you can get a half-order of things like meatloaf, fried chicken, etc. -- it's not on the menu but definitely available.

Crystal Palace- both my sons pick hands down.

As a solo adult, I just found that the adults portions were often too large. However, unfortunately (for me!) most places have kid-type food (peanut butter and jelly, chicken fingers, etc.) on the kid's menu. A couple exceptions were Lotus Blossom cafe, where I got fried rice and an egg roll, and ABC Comissary in MGM, where I got a child's order of fish. I'd love to know of any other places that have kid's portions of "adult-type" (read, not chicken fingers, etc.-what my kids limited themselves to) food.

The "newer" children's CS menus are a bit unusual and stray from the usual fried fast food type meals. One that was popular with my DD is the turkey roll up at Pinachhio's at MK. Other great children's menu's are at Cali Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern lunch menu and the children's menu at Coral Reef and Artist Point.

i also had gastric bypass and am going to disney for the first time this year. i called the disabilities line and spoke with a cm, and she said that some of the buffets and family style meals will allow a gastric bypass patient to get the children's rate if the person has the medical documentation such as a special dietary needs card like the one my surgeon gave me. However, the cm said it is up to the manager on duty at the restaurant, and there is no official policy (someone else on the board once mentioned getting kids price at chef mickey's). CRT would not allow me to get the children's price, but Brown Derby for Fantasmic Package said it was ok (I asked about those specifically when making ADRs since they need a CC to hold). have a great trip!
