So what is the funniest DVC post you've read?

Mine was the one about the woman who took her college aged daughter and all of her friends to OKW in the GV. (11?? 12??)

Actually, it wasn't the post that was so funny as all of the guys who offered to substitute with her the next time!

I like when someone asks about preparing food in the villas and Richyams always brings up his pigs feet recipe. It makes me laugh, because my Italian grandmother actually uses pigs feet in her sauce, and some of my family actually eats them (gross)!

How about the one where a woman was complaining about maid service at BCV and one reported a "dried up roast" in the oven when they arrived. When the woman heard that one she said, "that's it, I'm writing a letter!"

OK, I'll be brave, because I don't think the person who originally posted meant for this to be funny. However, I did think the whole thread about the palm trees at OKW, and whether or not they should be trimmed (I believe someone thought maybe they were really hacked at) got rather funny. People had very strong opinions about those trees!
Also, Richyams comments about "family togetherness" in BWV accomodations-

There was the one about the shoving match over the washers near the pool at OKW. I recall that a lot of people took that one pretty seriously and talked about additional surveillance.

Or how about the poster who suggested that the only way to keep the BCV heat sensing thermostat was to:

'Pass by the WalMart on 192, pick up a hamster and tie it to one of the Mickey helium balloons. If the heat from the hamster was not enoguh, get two balloons and pck up a guinea pig'

My favourite was "What's with the oval at BCV" this thread generated some great responses, suggestions included a magical meditation circle, NASCAR track for kids, Disney's version of a crop circle and the place where Raliens meet the Mother Ship and perform their clonings. This was followed by "First the oval NOW the triangle" which also had a few good responses.

Please don't think I am bashing BWV, because I love it, but I laughed when someone said they did not like the clown slide there because it reminded him of something out of a Shephen King movie!

Simba's Mom - I do remember the OKW tree threads - I know they weren't meant to be funny, but sometimes things are taken too seriously not to be funny.

I think my all time favorite was when Rich made a comment about draining cresent(??) lake at BWV and someone thought it was true.

Don't worry, I have fairly thick skin even if I don't have any leave time or money left, LOL. Truth is I have done and seen some of what is asked about here but not by any means near all. I also have access to knowledge and info that some of you do not as it relates to other timeshares, but I'm not the only one. So I try to post what I know or can find out. I hope it's helpful.

I just remembered another one. Someone once asked if they had a 2 br with 8 guests, would each guest get a room key. Richyams (again always the jokester) said they would only get one room key for all eight people. Since I was fairly new to the boards at the time, I took it seriously and started ranting about how unfair that was, etc. etc. It was pretty funny once I realized it was a joke.

I think the one we got the biggest kick from was when someone posted a question about maid service. One post read that as a DVC member she was glad we didnt have regular service. She went on to explain how the maids sometimes dont knock and on this particular day the maid service came at a really, REALLY inconvenient time as she and her sweety got caught.......in their birthday suits! She told it all and a lot funnier than I could do justice.

Wish I could remember it more precisely but in one OKW vs the world banter filled thread there was the tongue-in-cheek comment touting how nice it was at OKW to be able to go outside and wash your car-- I had to laugh out loud when I read that one.

This goes back a ways, but does anyone remember the LONG thread about turning the DVC resorts into a nursing home towards the end of our contracts? Now that was funny!!!
