If I ran into someone that I didn't care for or that I had some problems with I would just be polite and move on. Of course we don't know your personal situation, it might be easier said than done. I just don't like to be at odds with anyone. Some people just aren't going to get along and just being civil is usually the best way to handle it. Like Snoopy said, sometimes people don't even realize that something they've done was hurtful or made someone feel really bad. I know I've made people feel bad before and it was a long time before I realized how much I hurt them. When I did I was so sorry. Maybe talking to them in person might be a good thing, who knows? i agree with what people have said above.

irl, we often have to deal with people we don't like. in those situations, i am polite to the person and then just try not to interact with them too much.

it's not like you're going to be stuck in a room alone with this person (right?). i'm sure you will be able to avoid whoever the person is.

Lea Ann, the way I act around someone I don't like being around is I watch their actions. Actions speak louder than words. I'm of the "I'm a lover not a fighter" mentality, but if I feel threatened, I'm of that "kick butt and take names later" mentality. Perhaps if there is someone you dislike there they'll leave you alone. I hope so.
