I have never heard of it until joining this board. But what is it? All I have read on threads is basically that it is "fun to fool with".

Thanks!

It's got kind of cool calculations for determining a good order for your choice of rides. You put in what rides you want to do, what day and time you will be there, and when you want to take breaks. It uses some formulae to determine a good order to do your rides with the least amount of wait. You can download it and then subscribe to the service for $15 for 3 months and I think it's $25. for 6 months. They update it monthly with the park hours and show schedules, etc.

Well worth it for 15 bucks, I think.:thumbsup2

For someone who doesn't know DLR very well,....(imo) it is a great tool to have in order to have an itinerary or "ride order" planned out for them. (so they don't have to spend hours or days figuring & planning.)

I think alot of Disers see it as "fun to fool with", because alot of us already have some strategies in our head, so RideMax basically confirms what we kind of already know...or offers some new ideas on possibly tweaking our existing strategies.

I like to "fool with it" on specific rides at specific times. Especially ones that I'm still trying to figure out or have given me fits on the best time to ride them. (Like Storybookland, for example.....or Toadie when i arrive late in the day & I HAVE to ride it.)

fwiw it's only $25 for an entire year (or $15 for 3 months). For me it paid for itself when it suggested BTMRR was a walk on (at two different times) on a recent visit & my 9y/o son & i rode the "Wildest Ride in the Wilderness" multiple times both days (always a good thing :thumbsup2 ).

Thanks everyone!! Sounds kinda cool.

I wondered about BTMRR being a walk on at some points myslef. One of my recent trips (I think 10-07) We had a wait, and we usually dont. When we went in April of 07, we walked right on twice in a row.

I purchased the 3 month version to plan our trip in February. I was miffed at the fact that they don't have data for Sundays. When I wrote to him (the creator) and asked for a refund due to this fact, he pointed out that he does mention this on the website somewhere, and to just try it out on Saturday's schedule instead. Well, since we ended up going on a rainy Sunday in February, we found we didn't need a "plan" at all. Most rides were walk-on, and the FP rides were 5 minutes wait, so we just rode them then. We went on BTMMRR twice in a row with no wait! So it's not worth it if you're going on a low-peak day.

However, if the Sunday thing doesn't bother you, and you're going in peak season, I highly recommend it. It's personalized just for you.

**Sorry if I am hijacking your post, but I have to ask: Do you think it would be worth it on a Tuesday-Friday in mid-September? I am tempted to get it just to play around with it and I am particularly interested in that Friday as I know it will be busy. Maybe just as a $15 fun toy! :goodvibes

I think so. I got the WDW version for this reason - to experiment with beforehand because I am less knowledgabel about WDW. We never followed any of the RM schedules but it did influence how we toured and how we started our days.

Thanks! Maybe it will be my "toy." Have to wait a few more weeks to get it though or my subscription will expire before my trip is over. :lmao:
