Besides pins... What other little treasures do you hunt for? I like older Disney stuff. Not your run of the mill kind of things though... I just got an old Disney balloon hand pump. I also look for old play sets from Disney.... How about you?

headaches! from my kids asking me "when's the next time we get to go to Mickey's home?"

Other than that, I have some plastic Disney toys (see "Who collects little/rubber toys), a couple of lunch boxes, some figurines...

Teapots...

I have a couple of Disney teapots: Mrs. Potts teapot which I have actually used a couple of times (don't tell her I said this, but she leaks  ), and a Mickey teapot that my son's girlfriend gave me for christmas  I also have teapots from different parts of the world.

I collect (or did before pins!) antiques: antique quilts, baskets, furniture, lighting, stoneware, redware, woodenware, teddy bears, and so on and so on..........!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Disney, I have 4 Harmony Kingdom boxes, so I guess that's a collection, and coffe mugs, but I've run out of room in the cupboards!

Well, right now I collect pins of course but I also collect mickey head antenna balls. I usually get one I can put on the car and one I keep in my collection. Fortunately, my dh collects shot glasses and antenna balls fit in them very nicely most of the time.

My big thing is doll collecting. I collect Barbie. We are talking collectible dolls, not pink box (ie the stuff you get at Toys R Us). I also collect WDCC (Walt Disney Classic Collection), Disney cels, and some snowglobes. I am a big Star Wars and Star Trek fan, so I have collectibles in those two areas as well.

Forgot to add that I collect watches - I have over 40, and about half of those are Disney.

dont have any official disney collections other than pins. Some Cinderella stuff (WDCC etc.), clothing, scrapbook supplies, and hallmark ornaments etc.
I DO collect Longaberger baskets (American Cancer, Christmas and anything else that fancies me). I started DD on a collection of Madame Alexander dolls. In the past I have also collected high end Barbies, Disney Dolls, Ashton Drake Gene dolls, beanie babies, olympic pins (Atlanta), Hard Rock pins (only ones I have personally visited), barbie hallmark ornaments, all of which are now in storage.

DH has a collection of original Star Wars figures, reissues, CocaCola merchandise, die cast trucks, tins, crayola and star wars hallmark ornaments

I collect Dept 56 Snow Village. My Christmas display is still up and I may not take it down! It looks so pretty when you walk thru the livivng room at night and the lights from the houses are the only lights in the room.

We also buy several Hallmark Christmas ornaments every year. I have been doing this since Christmas 1978 when I was working at a Hallmark store while in college.

I buy pins from places when I am traveling. DH collects small model airplanes and old money. DD22 collects Limoges boxes, Dept 56 Dickens Village and Madame Alexander dolls.

hehehehehehehe.............
I collect bears, Snowmen and Fantasy Stuff (dragons, fairies and etc...) - they are what collects the dust.

We have several little collections. We have antique glass bottles, coke stuff, tin bar signs for different alcoholic beverages, beer tap handles, antique postcards, shot glasses, video game marquees, Disney figurines/Big Figs/model sheets/plush and so much more. As a kid, I collected stamps. I still have a bunch in a crate at my Dad's house.

Our biggest collection by far is of dust and bills. lol Maggie

I collect too much!
Santas--I have over 1000.
Pins---More than I can count
Snowglobes--Only Disney globes, I have 84
Mickey Stuff--tons of statues, stuffed Mickeys, keychains, etc...
Ornaments---I have all the Disney Grolier ones and tons of other Disney ornaments including all the Hallmark Disney ornaments released for the past 15 years or so.
Mickey Antenna Balls--I have about 15 so far
Seraphiem Angels-- I bought quite a few for my mom every birthday and Christmas and when she died she left these to me. I cherish these more than any of my Disney collections combined.
Memories-------I have thousands, from family memories to all the great memories I have had because of pin trading. Peggie

I have Pooh allll over my house! Of course I have a puppy that leave poo too, but it's not bear shaped. ahem!! Anyway!!

I have been collecting Pooh memorabilia for 30+ years now.It was difficult at first, as it was not mass marketed way back then.
I remember when we had a Disney STore here in Daytona, when it first opened, I was crying for Pooh stuff. It didn't take long, now it's everywhere.

I consider my older stuff more special and valuable, not only because it's older, but because it was harder to find. I have a Winnie the Pooh game that is 25 years ols or better. Still NIB, I have Pooh "weeble" I've been offered big bucks for. NOT for sale! I have an old Bobble head Pooh, I have a Pooh plush that my Pop bought me on our first trip to the "world" in the early 70"s. STill mint. I just have "skads" of Pooh stuff!! Jewelry, watches, keychains (50+), plush, beanies(USA & International), Candy dishes, Tins, snow globes, shirts dresses, books, stickers, varied toys, Banks, Thimbles, ceramics boxes, Stieff Pooh's, Madam Alexander Christopher Robin w/Pooh, Towels, Shower curtain, soap dish, radio, statues, mugs, everday dishes, Chistmas dishes, flatware, glasses, tea kettle, waffle maker, ( I want the toaster), candles, crystal, jewlry boxes, pillows, it just goes on & on, OH !! and of course PINS!! Over 800 Pooh pins alone, not counting others we collect.

I also collect designer Teddy Bears, International bears and ones that just talk to me and say "Take me home"! I collect TY, but now only Christmas and patriotic bears. Hubby collects special things of Snoopy.

The best thing we collect is the friends we have made because of this Pin hobby though!!!!

Blessings,
Winnie

I don't think I'm as much of a "collector" as some of my pinpals.

I have three mini Princess snowglobes. But I would like to add a mini snowglobe for each WDW park. I just always seem to forget to buy these when I'm in WDW. Maybe I'll remember on my next trip.

I definitely collect books. I read constantly, and I buy books where ever I go. There are bookcases in every room in our house (except the dining room), and every one of them is packed double deep and crammed full. :teeth:

I guess the thing I really collect -- in the same sort of addicted way I collect pins -- would be wrapping paper! I love the stuff! I used to collect just any kind, but I've become a connoisseur, and now only dabble in the high-quality stuff. :p This passion has led me to chair our school's annual Sally Foster giftwrap sale, so I can surround myself with wrapping paper for the first two months of each school year! :teeth:

Which lead me to another thing I forgot to buy on our last trip to WDW. . . WDW wrapping paper! I saw some in the outlet store, and I was going to buy several packs of each style, and then I totally forgot.

In always knew you were strange and now I am sure...........WRAPPING PAPER ????? hehehehe

P.S. I also have to add Disney Stamps and Disney Postcards to my list of what I collect. Should go up and edit my first post.

well all thing disney but I have begun to really expand my HM collection.

My latest quest is for HM MPC Kits - I need one more.

I also do watches, snowglobes, lately big figs and old disney toys.

Outside of Disney I collect Monty Python, Stooges and police memorabilia.

I collect mostly Disney. My favorite is vintage items, toys, puzzles, books and figurines. I concentrate on Tinker Bell but I also collect members of her gang, plus Pinocchio & gang and Alice in Wonderland and Sword in the Stone. I alos collect vintage Disneyland items. I have compacts, key chains, bells, spoons, bracelets, necklaces, tea cups and saucers, plates and more. I just got the entire set of the Disney Department 56 set for Christmas. I collect Disney dolls and Disney Olszewski's. The Olszewski's are wonderful. I have some art work but not as much as I would like. Too expensive. I have several big figs. Just got Jiminy in Rags today.....Beautiful.

The one thing that I don't have that I would like to own someday is Walt Disney's Autograph. I'm working on it.

My non-Disney collections are Cherished Teddies (only have about 60 of these) and Boyds bears and some stuffed bears that I just had to have.

Oh..and I collect dust too.

Robyn,

You are not strange! I love wrapping paper, too. I buy the high quality stuff and all my gifts look so great. I pick a certain paper for each person. Every year I say that I am not buying any more, but I always do. On Dec 26, I am all over town at the fancy little paper shops buying the sale paper!

Sally Foster is one of my favorites. Since DD is now 22 and no longer selling it for school, I just go and the web site and order and pick her old school to get the donation.

I love dolls! I collect all kinds - Barbie, Madame Alexander, Lee Middleton, Robin Woods. I have recently discovered the Disney Marie Osmond dolls - I ordered Baby Mary Poppins a few days ago. I wanted to buy her on Sprinb Break at WDW, but I had a really good coupon from the Disney Store and just couldn't justify spending an extra $30 or $40 if I didn't have to. This is what a dork I am - I'm having it sent to AKL so I can open it there!

Besides everything Disney that my hubby collects.. ( love you honey but we might have to build a new room soon for all this stuff! ;) ) I collect elephant and giraffe figurines and wood carvings. Nat got me some beautiful stuff from the Animal Kingdom for Christmas this year. So I am really adding to my collection.

We are also collecting Disney Lenox figurines. All the ones we have now are Mickey and Minnie but we want to get some other characters as well.

There is a Disney Lenox Cinderella and Prince that I have coveted for years! I couldn't go into our local store without drooling over it for a few minutes on each trip.

It's almost a relief that they've removed these items when they remodeled the store. I think the local CMs were pretty tired of cleaning up the glass case every time I came in. :p
