So what does booking Concierge get me?

I think this is obvious, but by "private sun deck", does it mean just that -- no wading pool or water of any kind in the same area? A PP seems to confirm that?

There is no pool. There is this nice circular bench with misting sprays that feel great when it's hot out, and there's also a shower if you want to rinse off and cool down.

Does anybody have any thoughts as to how Concierge would facilitate things on one of the Star Wars Day at sea cruises?

If you want to take a quick dip in the water, you can go out onto deck 13 (the adult sundeck) and Satellite Falls (is that what it's called?) is right there.

Ha! We are going on our first NYE cruise on the Dream this year as well. In addition, we were on the Eastern Carribbean Fantasy cruise a couple of weeks ago that you've been posting about. Go figure.

So....you are stalking us. Excellent.

What a coincidence! Please feel free to shoot me a private message if you want to introduce yourself. If we're going to be spending all this time on the ships together, it would be nice to know your name.

Also, are you going to WDW before the cruise? Because if you are, then clearly our travel agent is just copy/pasting our itinerary over to yours.

Do they not have Satellite Falls on the Dream? (I haven't been on the Dream yet, going for the first time this New Year's Eve.)
They do not have Satellite Falls on the Dream. We have sailed the Dream twice and look forward to seeing it on our Fantasy cruise in May.

My family of 4 sailed the Dream between Christmas/NYE this year (not concierge).
You see to the left of the picture, the "ball". My family of four adults took loungers and placed them under the ball.
We had shade all day and was able to see the ocean. It is very disappointing that the concierge sundeck on the Dream cannot
look out to the ocean. This area is right outside the concierge sundeck in case anyone is interested in looking at the sea instead and still close
to the sundeck.

Agree needs to be near or be able to see water.

Other than the lounge, what are the perks booking concierge vs. not?

We are just starting to plan and we have never cruised before so I'm open to any and all advice.

Thanks so much!

As a follow up question, I just booked concierge for the first time for our 3rd cruise on the Fantasy (Nov. 14 Western Caribbean). We got 1-bedroom suite 12012. Our party (of 9) will have guests in 2 additional category 4A staterooms. I was told that it was ok to invite guests to the suite as long as they (obviously) only went there and did not use any of the concierge services (lounge, sun deck, etc.). There's still ~90 days until I can call the concierge number, but if anyone could tell me more details on the policies for inviting guests, I would very much appreciate it. Then I can set the expectations and avoid disappointments. Also, will we be able to book port adventures for everyone when the 125 day window opens?

I had 12012 for two cruises it's the very best room!

Yes you can invite guests to your room, no issue.
The hosts said I could invite guests to the concierge party meet.
I do not think for such a large party and so many non concierge guests that they would do anything for them on booking shore trips, but they will book cabanas fir your party and guests and on ship if there is any issues on reservations they will try their best to go ordinate it for you all. I know where was its one relative in a non concierge room and the rest in concierge they have at their discretion included them, ie granny sailing with family but in her own room for privacy that's not concierge but for a large party I do not think they will extend to that.

My advice.... Ask... There is no harm in asking, just accept that a polite No, is a no.
