Unlike most here, I would have turned it down. I like listening to loud music and I know you were there first, but I am just the type of person to try to set the example for how people are supposed to act. Not giving you a hard time, that is just the way I would have handled the situation.

Why the rolleyes? I think Feralpeg is absolutely right. Yes, the other guy was obnoxious for asking the OP to turn the music down, but really, would it have been that big of a dleal for her just to turn it down a little while she was finishing?

It's just common courtesy, folks. Sometimes it's nice to be the bigger person, even if you are "right" in being indignant at a request.

If I have my window down for any reason in town, at a stop light, parking lot, whatever...I will turn it down so others don't have to be subjected to my music. After all, they might not like the same type of music I like so why should they have to put up with hearing it?

I absolutely hate it when I'm at a gas station, outside pumping my gas and some idiot pulls in and leaves their "music" turned full blast with the window down while they're pumping their gas. No concern for anyone near them who might think their "music" is garbage.

Have your music as loud as you want while driving. When parked with other people in the vicinity show some courtesy and turn it down.

ummmm, did you just call me an idiot???? I actually have an IQ that is off the charts...but that is a subject for another thread You are right...I had no business listening to my music in a deserted parking lot with a zillion parking spots around I am an ****

Well, I"m my own kind of rebel. I drive around in my Bug convert. with talk radio blaring down the road. DH says I loose mega cool points for the talk radio but hey, I like it so I really don't care.
