I went to the bank today. I was in the parking lot, which was not crowded... must have been a thousand parking spots, I was parked and balancing the checkbook. I had my Pure Funk cd in the player and I was jamming to Play That Funky Music White Boy because I'm cool like that :smokin: My window was down and the music was somewhat loud, but not obnoxious. So.. this guy in a truck pulls up right next to me, our driver side doors are next to each other. I glance up and then continue with my bookeeping. All of a sudden I hear......"Excuse me....excuse me. Could you turn your music down?".....I glance at him and see that his window is down as well and he is on the phone. I have several thoughts go through my head including telling him to go....nevermind :teeth: Anyway, I chose to ignore him. He says again..."Hello, I know you hear me. Would you turn your music down, I'm on the phone." ......once again, I ignore him. He pulls out, laying rubber on the road and calls me a colorful adjective (which I can't quite deny :teeth: ) so....did I do the right thing or should I have turned down the radio???

Why couldn't he have put his window up? Was his window broken? You should have mooned him, W8. You're good at that. :teeth:

OMG...what a complete idiot...you were smart to say NOTHING...too many wackos today...best to just keep to yourself...and if you want your music loud...so be it...HE CAN LEAVE!!! :sad2:

He obviously does not know you could have taken him down with just one picture from your photobucket.

:rotfl2:

I can't believe someone would actually do that!

It was probably smart of you not to say anything back, but I sure would have been tempted.

You know, I so wanted to hit him with a bloody eyeball pic but reality set in..and what was I to do? :teeth:

LOLOLOL

You most certainly were NOT in the wrong! It amazes me how people actually thing that the world revolves around THEM!

I agree with everybody else. It's not like he was on a payphone next to your car - he pulled in there after you - he had his windows down and was perfectly capable of putting them up or moving his car somewhere else.

I think you did good. You were there first and he could have just rolled up his window. :thumbsup2

What a tool :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: . I probably would have turned it up or started jabbering in some made up language but then again my maturity IQ is often in the single digits ;) :rotfl: :rotfl: .

yes   I did the right thing :teeth: whoda thunk????? :woohoo:

I'd be careful. For all you know he may post on these boards. And then the next thing you know he'll be posting a poll asking if he was right to tell you to turn it down.

Unlike most here, I would have turned it down. I like listening to loud music and I know you were there first, but I am just the type of person to try to set the example for how people are supposed to act. Not giving you a hard time, that is just the way I would have handled the situation.

I KNOW I KNOW....you should have YELLED OVER..."I CAN NOT HEAR YOU"...and then just kept saying that IF it appeared he was continuing to ask you to turn it down.. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I CAN NOT HEAR YOU!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It amazes me how many people act as if they have a God-given right to talk on the phone anywhere, under any circumstances.

dang, you're right :confused3 What was I thinking????? We haven't had a "are you a jackarse poll?" in awhile :teeth:

Why the rolleyes? I think Feralpeg is absolutely right. Yes, the other guy was obnoxious for asking the OP to turn the music down, but really, would it have been that big of a dleal for her just to turn it down a little while she was finishing? :confused3

It's just common courtesy, folks. Sometimes it's nice to be the bigger person, even if you are "right" in being indignant at a request.

You can roll your eyes at me now too if you'd like. ;)
