OMG, I remember that episode! Suzanne bought Charlene's baby a wig so she could win a beauty contest. I miss that show so much, I can't even find reruns of it anymore.

I thought the baby looked cuter without that ridiculous mop. I wonder how it stays on.

Well I have no children myself but I do have a couple of friends who would have loved to have had something like this for their little girls who were born with pretty much no hair at all. They were just late hair bloomers and it took a LONG time for them to grow hair and I felt so bad for their mom's who were so tired of their beautiful girls being called boys simply because they have no hair. They try using bows with sticky on them to stick to their baby's heads but, they always fall off. I say if it doesn't hurt or bother baby and it brings joy into mommy's life, then good for them

That's pretty funny! I don't get why it's so important that strangers know if your baby is a boy or girl. Who cares? People used to ask all the time if mine were boys or girls. I didn't consider it a great tragedy that no one could tell if a 4-month-old was male or female.

Absolutely ridiculous.

My son and daughter did not have hair for most of the first year of their life, just a little bit of "peach fuzz" and it didn't bother me at all. I can't imagine spending money on something like that.

That's hilarious. My DD is 7 months and mostly has some fuzz; the hair is growing in, but there isn't much there. I don't really give a rip if people think she looks like a boy. She's a baby, so she just looks like a baby, not a little boy or girl.

My first dd was pretty much bald til she was 2 I mean BALD! Yes she was mistaken for a boy but there is no way she would have kept that thing on her head.. she would have been pulling it off no matter what.. could you see having to pick up your babies wig every 2 seconds?

Agreed. Where I'm from we stick a big ol' bow that's bigger than the girl's head on her and I can guarantee that she is looks like a sweet little girl!!

Those wig critters are so unnecessary.

Absolutely ridiculous. Who cares if someone calls your baby girl a boy? SHE certainly doesn't. I have two girls, no boys. Neither had much hair. Big deal.

Apparently some people do or this product wouldn't have ever been created. I have friends who were very bothered that their daughters didn't have hair for nearly 2 years. So they had 2 years of correcting people and not getting to enjoy other people's joy over their little girl because they were always mistaken for boys. I don't have kids yet so it doesn't matter to me but I think it is mean to automatically dismiss the fact that it DOES bother some people, or to think that those mom's feelings aren't valid. I say to each their own
