So What Do You Eat Before a Dessert Party?

We ate healthy food around 5:00ish, not a large meal but just enough to not feel hungry. Then at the dessert party, when we were there 2 weeks ago, they had a good-sized table with watermelon, grapes, other melons, and cheese. We focused on that stuff, plus tried a couple desserts. None of us over-ate or left feeling stuffed. It was expensive for our party of 4, but having the great viewing spot made it feel worth it.

I was just wondering the same thing, but we are going during F&W so we'll have a couple small things from the kiosks for an early "dinner" and then go stuff ourselves silly with sugar. :)

We split a quick service meal at Columbia Harbour House around 5:00pm, and were then ready for the treats at the party! We did check in at 7:45, and though we didn't actively eat the whole time it was nice to sit and relax and sit on coffee/tea before the fireworks.

Depends on the dessert party. We always have lunch around 11:30 or noon, and then:

MK: CL snacks before party. If not staying CL, would have done 5pm counter service and ordered something light or shared.
Epcot: CL snacks before party. Same as above, if not staying CL.
DHS Star Wars: Didn't eat before party. Enough variety at the dessert party, so it was more like appetizers and dessert.
DHS Jingle Bell/Jingle Bam: Shared counter service before party. This was a good call, as we didn't think the non-dessert items at the party looked as good as those at Star Wars.

I'm going to eat a TS meal at 4:00, no dessert ... I don't want to fill up on al that sugar. Just want the view really. Hope you enjoy your trip! =)

There are 6 of us going next week. We are going to do the nachos challenge at Pecos Bill around 4:00 the day we are scheduled for the dessert party. 4 of the 6 are teenaged boys so I'm sure they'll be hungry by the time the dessert party rolls around. A few weeks ago we did a 5:00 BOG dinner before the party and even though we had no appetizers and no dessert, none of us were really hungry at 7:30 for the dessert party.
