We have mocking names for each other.

Hubby is Butt-face.

I am Stinky.

There are other assorted types of namecalling but it is all in great fun and just has become our affectionate sort of talk. So if you hear us jokingly calling each others 'idiots' or 'jerk-faces' or 'super-dweeb' it is a sign of love. We jokingly say "i hate you so much" almlost of much as saying "i love you", but it means the same thing to us.

Whenever we have kids we will try to be more careful with this talk as kids just don't get sarcasm sometimes. I could just imagine a small child calling a teacher a "Stinky jerk-face" thinking they are being affectionate and everything just going horribly wrong for the poor confused child....

Boyfriend calls me Stinky-face or Lil One

I call fiance Ugly, Bobo or Dollbaby or when he is going on about a video game: Dorkus Malorkus

My mom is not real fond of derivatives or nicknames so I am only called by my name. At least when she's around.


My nephews occasionally call me Aunt T. Their mom's side calls me that, but mostly the boys and my godchildren call me Aunt Teresa. My brother and Dad call me Treese. My friends sometimes call me Tresa instead of TER-Resa.

I don't really have a nickname. My ex had a few but none other than Honey that I can name. My mom used to call me Sis, or Miss B, I don't know why. I'm Laurie to most people. Mom to kids that aren't mine and Momma to my girls.

I use Honey too much, it comes out for too many people, one time I used it for my brother in law in front of my h, my h didn't appreciate it.

I used to use nicknames for my girls all the time. The main ones are Sunshine for Brittany and Angel for Kelsea.
But other names I've used for my girls are munchkin, sweetheart, sweety, honey, stink pot, turkeybutt, baby, lovebug, and a few others I don't remember now.

Some of the staff at my PT job call me FruitCake - now at times I don't respond to my real name, which is common. Other than irritating the cook one time there is no reason for the name. She bestowed the nickname FruitCup on DD who also works there.

Moonie - little brother couldn't say Mary, it came out Moonie and it stuck. That deteriorated when other little brother made it, Moon, Moonbeam, Moonscream, and then 'Screamer. My dad sometimes calls me Moonie. Other Little Brother still calls me "Screamer. But then I still call him 'Butt, which was shortened from Dork Butt.

Some of my friends will call me Mar', but it's not often. Mary is already short.

I don't really have a nickname for DH. Other Little Brother called Bryan (DH) "Bronc" for some reason when we were dating. He still does from time to time

DD has been called sweetpea, MissLin, Catie-girl, Lady Lin, Prettiest One, Smart Lady. Then I started calling her baby girl and she was calling me mama. So I started calling her "Biba" (bee-bah) so we rhymed. Mama...Biba. It just has a nice ring to it.

DS has more nicknames from my mom than from me. DS and my mom really like to tease each other. So my mom calls DS several things and it just depends on the day: Wilbur, Wilbur Theodocious, Stinkpot, Bratso, Fritz, Fritzie-doodle, Buster Brownsky.
