So what bothers you at WDW that may not bother anyone else???

pet peeve is people not being polite or courteous. I get it, when you are at WDW it is all about YOU. At least use some common courtesy to the people around you.

biggest pet peeve is the person who is screaming talking to their friends/families on enclosed rides. Listen kid, you are so loud that I can not hear R2D2 talk so please pipe down. You may scream talk all you want in 90 seconds when this is over.

almost biggest pet peeve is you who are using the flash camera on dark rides. Sign says no flash camera, this means no flash camera. Okay?

Last but not least, is the person who refuses to place their used chewing gum in a trash can but instead puts it on table tops, benches, light posts, walls, railings and etc. Really? You should be tarred and feathered on a hot day in August.

Ok, so the flash photography never bothered me until I started reading these boards. Now it just inflames me. Thanks peeps.:)

These posts are HILARIOUS!!!:jumping1:

OK, I got one for the buses, too! So I'm a guy and I only have two sons. We're Southern, so if we're sitting on the bus and a lady is standing, we would offer our seats. That's the polite thing to so. So the pet peeve that I have is when I see men sitting while ladies stand. I would try to make up excuses in my mind like 'Perhaps the guy is injured' or 'He may feel like he would pass out if he stands' or something. But I have been on buses where old ladies would stand while grown men sits. I mean, Yikes! But maybe people weren't taught that or womens' lib requires them to stand. I don't know...

I'm going to 1-up you here. Not only should seats be yielded for a lady or the elderly, but I'm more than happy to give up my seat for the fathers. I'm talking about the ones who are carrying like 30-40 pound backpacks and pushing around the stroller (and probably being nagged by the wife and harassed by the kid(s) all day). They deserve a seat. When I offer up a seat to a dad on the bus, they always look at me in shock and awe like I am giving him his first sip of water after spending months walking in a desert.

mine is those who, in heavy traffic (as you would expect on main street or peter pan/small world where there is a definite flow) stop dead in their tracks for no apparent reason.

theirs is probably the people who them stumble into them:p

This! I always say 'oh great place to stop, right in the middle of a walk way.' I get the castle is there but geez, move to the side!

Yes, by the END of a trip, I am OVER these people. Like, you're in a crowded park ... You know there are people walking behind you, and you just abruptly stop?

Nevermind politeness ... how about self-preservation?:rotfl:

Do they actually sit though? I've seen ladies on my public transport bus offer seats to guys who look wiped out and they always always decline. It seems like a lot of guys don't usually accept these gestures but I could be very wrong. I'm not a guy after all.

As for me I don't expect men to give me their seat. I don't stare at sitting guys and think "what a jerk, I should be sitting instead." I stare at anyone sitting on the bus and think that. :D

Great question!

File under pet peeves I know are totally crazy: it drives me nuts when people get the names wrong. They call Magic Kingdom "Disney," or they say/write they are going to "O'Hana," like it's an Irish place, or "'Ohana's," like it's a possessive. THE WORST: "O'HANA'S"!!. I know that these things do not matter at all, and yet I cringe a little when I hear them and others like them. Maybe it's an English teacher thing.

This cracks me up. It also annoys me when I'm talking to someone about visiting Disney World specifically, and they start talking about Harry Potter... Harry Potter is not a Disney movie, nor is it in the parks. Or they'll say they met a Marvel or Minion character at Disney. They just clump all the parks in Orlando together like the city is owned by Walt Disney himself. Drives me up a wall.

Hahahaha - What annoys me is people wandering around a CS restaurant with trays full of food who didn't secure a table first.

I can't say that this annoys me, but if I was carrying around a tray of food while there were people sitting at a table while someone else was ordering, I'd be kicking myself for not doing the same thing. Getting a table before you order isn't ill-mannered or rude in my book, just a smart decision. Just make sure you don't chill for a half hour after you are done eating because there are others who might need a table too.

What really bothers me? Cast members who aren't in character and who would clearly rather be anywhere else. Kind of ruins the mood when they act like that.

This.

A few of mine . . .
Chubby princesses - I know it's not politically correct to say this but when I'm paying hundreds of dollars for a meal at CRT, I don't necessarily expect Miss Universe dressed up as Sleeping Beauty but I do expect the person playing the character to be relatively thin and attractive. Along these lines, it seems that at the prices Disney charges they could open up the pocketbook and pay face characters more, thereby opening the competition to play those characters.

I haven't seen this. We did have a Merida once who must have been filling in.

Are you allowed to do that? I thought the crowded places make you get your food first?

(We don't eat QS in the parks often)

*high five*

Yes, I have had people tell me (for instance) they are going to Disney World on Monday, Epcot on Tuesday and Animal Kingdom on Wednesday. It takes me a second to understand what they mean, but it's happened often enough that I'm kind of used to it now.

I can't complain though. My husband uses Hollywood Studios and Universal interchangably. He knows the difference, he just can't seem to keep the names straight!

The worst: "Boma's" :(

imo there are many people utilizing them who would prefer other accommodations for stamina/mobility issues but are told by Disney their only options are to use a WC or scooter.

This has piqued my honest curiosity. What other options do you mean?

you are not alone about the people in line that don't pay attention.
i think it bothers everyone but the people that are doing it.

something that bothers me that probably doesn't bother anyone else is that some lines and restaurants are so dimly lit.
i'm visually impaired and it takes my eyes a good 10-15 minutes to adjust to very dim light so i pretty much just can't seem at all when walking through a winding dark line.
i understand that in some cases its all about the atmosphere like in haunted mansion or space mountain but in other cases i just don't see why it has to be so dim like in under the sea or nemo and friends.

something that doesn't bother me that seems to bother others is at RD when people weave in and out of "traffic" to get where they want to go.
if you have a goal thats fine by me as long as you aren't being reckless and bumping into everyone.
there are times when i go with a small group or by myself that i have a goal and it bugs me that i get nasty looks or comments just because i want to walk faster and not take a pic of everything.

another thing that doesn't bother me is waiting in line.
do i ENJOY waiting in a 45 minute line? no but i'm not going to complain about how long it is. i'm just going to wait quietly.

Main thing that bothers me that evidently doesn't most folks since 99% of the people I encounter seem to be that way - people who have no sense of urgency, particularly in a FPP line. Much of the time if you get to the "joining" point sooner they'll merge FPP people ahead there. But folks wander, take pics (Star Tours especially), stop and tie shoes, eat a snack. I can't figure out why they use FPP if they're going to do all this!

Things that don't bother me - people holding a spot for parades or character lines. Someone mentioned sending dad ahead to get in a line for a character (outside at Epcot) then mom and kiddo joining on another group and you'd think this was a major no-no. I don't have little ones any more so certainly wouldn't do this with my college kids but I don't have any problem with people joining a character line or slipping a young one in front for a parade as long as someone was there in the first place.

I'm old enough that I am frequently offered a seat on the bus, but young enough to be (mildly) insulted by this kindess and usually decline :cutie:, and I will always offer my seat to a parent holding a child, whether it's Mom or Dad.

Had to think on pet peves a while... the one trip when the room wasn't available at check-in the text they sent made no sense to me, it said something to the effect of "please see the front desk about your room". What? Does that mean my room is ready, or that there's a problem with the room? Do I even have a room? I had myself pretty wound up by the time I got back to POP :scared:, thinking something was wrong with the ressie, but of course it meant the room was ready - and exactly what I asked for. I checked-in and took a good long nap because I obviously needed one! So something that bugs me and probably no one else would be wording in their text messages.

I've learned to watch parades in frontierland. I could write a book about all the things that bug me about standing on mainstreet or at the hub. My dad hates when people cut through the line to catch up with their party. It does bug me because I would never think to do that. But my dad mutters under his breath every time it happens.

Pet Peeves: When we are parking and get sent to the end of the row farthest away from the tram; people who take flash photos on the dark rides; people who stop in the middle of the walkway to take pictures or look at their phones; when people don't move to make room for more people who may be coming into their same car on the monorail.

I am sure that I will think of more :)

Things that don't bug me: Standing in line; strollers/scooters.

My biggest peeve is when I'm standing in a spot for one of the shows in front of (let's say) Cinderella's Castle and somebody much taller than me squeezes their way in front and then puts their kids on their shoulders. It's one thing if you were already there that's fine you got there first and I'm sorry but making your way through 50 other people and standing directly in front of me 2 minutes before the show starts and then also putting your child on your shoulders is really frustrsting. So close to the show it gets a bit harder to find a new spot and still be able to see. I know you want your child to see but I do too. I wish there was a way to fix it.
