My mother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, cousin, boyfriend and I will be going to Derby Dinner Playhouse. It's a local dinner show type thing. It will be different from the usual Easter for sure. So, what are YOUR plans for Easter?

DH's Mom is just coming home after cancer surgery and complications, so we are going to their house in the AM to make them a big festive Easter breakfast with all the trimmings.

Then I have to run home and make ham and asparagus to take to DB and DSIL's house for dinner.

Saturday, easter egg hunt at the park
Sunday, easter egg hunt at home - then ham for dinner.

Brother1, SIL, and 2 nephews, Brother2, my fiance, and I are all going to my Grandmother's for Easter dinner. My parents will be having there own little dinner in AZ (we're all in IL) and my aunt and uncle are in Florida with my cousins. So it will just be a nice quiet day at Grandma's house.

Going to MIL's house in New Orleans for dinner and an Easter egg hunt for the greatgrandchildren (our DD 9 will also be in on the hunt).

My sister, BIL, their 2 daughters (ages 6 & 2) and I will be driving to VA tomorrow to another sister's house, to join her family--BIL, nephews ages 6 & 1, niece age 4--and another sister for Easter weekend. My sister's MIL & BIL will join us. We'll probably have a ham supper on Saturday and a roast beef dinner Sunday. It'll be a nice family weekend! :flower:

Usually we go to my parents and my dad does all the cooking, but since it is his birthday that day, I thought I'd give him a break from cooking and have it at my house. There will be us, my parents, my in-laws, my sister & her family, my brother and his family and my brother-in-law. I will set up an easter egg hunt for the kids early in the day, then we will do the whole eating thing. We start off with antipasta, then we have a pasta dish (baked ziti this year), then we have the ham and all the fixings, then dessert. It is pretty much an all day eating fest.

We are opening our house at the Jersey shore (we do this every year at Easter) and have dinner there with my brother and his family. Then we go to the Boardwalk and get 1/2 price ticket rides and water park rides. I know it will be cold and rainy there, but its been such a long dreary winter, to us this is the best weekend of the year, my daughter and I have had our countdown going for weeks!

Church in the morning, then going to a church member's house for lunch afterwards =)

Basket's early Sunday morning, then off to my aunts for brunch with my dad's side of the family and dinner with my grandmother and her awesome pies at our house in the evening. :cool1:

Mass at the Contemporary resort followed by Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast/early lunch. Woohoo!

Ugh, I hate you...

Just kidding :flower: Very very jealous! Have fun!

In the morning we'll be going to see my dad.

For lunch, we go to a big BBQ with lots of family at a cousin's house. It's usually my grandparents, all their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids and my grandmother's sister's family (kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids). Should be fun if the showers stay away! I think we're at 40% as of now for Sunday. :umbrella:

At some point we also have to see my SIL and her family and my MIL, and possibly DS's godparents.

Hahaha!!! We're sooo looking forward to this trip. My kids have been counting the days ever since we first planned this trip 6 months ago. So, yeah, we're a bit excited!

Have a happy Easter!

Pick up deaf-blind friend and her son, go to church and interpret worship service, take friend home, grab lunch from drive through, go back to church and interpret Easter Pageant, eat dinner at church and then interpret final performance of Easter Pageant. Go home and collapse.
