Made reservations for Poly.
But I also like the BC! Mostly because of the pool. The boardwalk really doesnt interest me since I go to the beach all the time here in Jersey cuz my family ownes a vacation home there. So that beachy/boardwalk feel is something I see alot anyway. Love it though. But that pool at BC!, and the closeness to Epcot!! Seems so cool. I'm so confused...
Poly has the monorail. Love that! And it seems very romantic! (First trip with BF. Want romantic atmosphere). It also seems a little more secluded.
I will be there for 6 nights. Will do Epcot twice, MK twice and a visit to AK and MGM. Please help me decide!!! I'm literally losing sleep. We are spending all this money for a nice hotel and I want it to be the right one!:earsgirl:

Stick with your gut feeling and go with something a little different.

My feeling is you can't go wrong with any Disney property, but the Poly is special. We stayed there two years ago, and loved it. I particularly liked sitting on the beach at night watching the lights in the MK go out one at a time.

Split the stay. Do your MK days when at Poly and Epcot when at BC. I love walking to Epcot for dessert from France every evening. It is very easy to move between resorts.

I agree with newcomer...split the stay. Being only 2 of you packing up and moving shouldnt bee too much trouble and it will give you a taste of 2 great resorts, and the convenience of being near the parks you are going to.

Okay I'm addicted to these boards AND I like to say "Poly". Anywhoo, thanks for the suggestions. I am going to sleep on it. Keep voting. DISNEY!!! FIRST TIME IN 7 YEARS!!

We have been to both. Both have their advantatges. Poly has better transportation, Monorail, Boats and Buses, and a great atmosphere. The Pool at BC was really nice and the location is great (but the bus service leaves something to be desired as it it shared with many others). Depends on the age of your kids. I have a 10 year old who has stayed at both but wanted the Poly due to the Monorail, Boats and proximity to MK. We are going to Poly in late August.

I have no kids. It's just me and my boyfriend. He thinks his girlfriend has gone a little Disney overboard with all the back and forth in my mind about which resort, but I want it to be special. Not to be cheezy or anything, but I've been waiting 7 years for a vacation (work, work, work) and even longer for a BF like him. So, truthfully, this is going to be a great vacation no matter what. But I'm leaning towards the Poly.

Thatdarncat - BC is really nice but Poly is more exotic given the situation.

My vote is for the Poly for romantic atmosphere and *magic*. At night they light the torches that line the walkways, I really loved that. You can sit on the beach and watch the monorails as well as see all the activity in the SSL including the nightly Electric Water Pageant. Looking at the lights from the GF and CR is beautiful. Try it and then plan on staying at the BC next trip if you want, it will give you something to look forward to.

P.S. I know SAB is awesome (will see for myself soon) but there is so much excitement at WDW you probably won't be spending a huge amount of time at the pool. (The volcano pool is really nice, too, BTW). We chose the YC this trip pre cruise for a fun place to stay 1 night without going into the parks and plan to just hang out at the SAB for the day, o/w we prefer to be in the MK area.

My vote is to split your stay. It's not hard, and it's like having two vacations in one. We do it regularly!

Beth - just to let you know we are neighbors, we live in Eatontown near the Mall. You really do split your stays. We do it from WDW to Universal but never at WDW. It seems like it just eats up so much time to check-in and check-out at each resort. Then again, I don't know the length of your trips. We usually shoot for a week. How do you do it.
