So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

You all are so great to be so excited for us! :goodvibes Have been packing all day, rummaging up boxes and filling them up! Boy, do I have a long way to go! :lmao:

I'm officially on a break and going to try to get caught up with all of you! :thumbsup2

I have absolutely nothing new to report to go towards PTR other than I may leave 2 little boys at home if they don't quit pestering the other!! ;)

It's official! After all of the uncertainty we've had the past few days over the proposed repair offer... the buyers have decided they are fine with what we are willing to do and they will be financing the roof into their mortgage. :thumbsup2 They are wanting a different type of shingle than what we would have put on so it's a 'win win' in my book.
 :cool1: :woohoo: :cool1:
YAY!!!!

[Sorry I've been MIA... spring break got busier than I had planned!]

Now to go back a bit... to your schedule:
Dec. 16 - arrive that night at Poly
Dec. 17 - Epcot - Candlelight Processional package at Le Cellier, dinner at Cape May Cafe in between CP and Illuminations
Dec. 18 - OPEN DAY!! Early dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then on to MVMCP that night at MK.
Dec. 19 - DHS - lunch at Sci Fi and Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine
Dec. 20 - AK - breakfast at Tusker House and dinner at Boma's that night
Dec. 21 - MK - ALL DAY LONG! We are forgoing CRT. After DH and I talked about it some more, we think our kids won't be upset if we don't go. This means we should be able to make our first ever ROPE DROP. Hoping this can be a relaxed day - we will have been to MK once during MVMCP. We aren't doing and TS meals.
Dec. 22 - OPEN DAY Breakfast at Whispering Canyon mostly to see xmas decorations at WL. Then dinner at O'hana's that night. The day will be open for whatever.
Dec. 23 - the one day of the trip we will all dread when we have to pack up and go home...
First off, Le Cellier... NOM!!! I wish I could go back this trip, but we just don't have the time. It was my second favorite meal of our last trip. We're discussing the CP dinner package and doing Teppan Edo. It was on my wish list for last September but we went to Coral Reef instead. I'm excited to try it this time around!

And concerning CRT... I think you guys will be okay without it. Honestly, with all the hype of CRT, I've not heard the greatest reviews lately. :( I guess the girls have been rushing through the crowd and not spending much time at the tables. Maybe switching it up this time will be a welcomed change?? :confused3 You never know!

Hope you are having a great start to your week!

Okay - so last week - :lmao: Enough said. The stress level is HIGH at our house right now. Almost all of the repairs are done... fireplace is finished tomorrow and then we are done. And closing times are set for next week so I believe we are on the downhill slide. :thumbsup2

It's just getting through the packing, the school work (mine), DH's ballgames, the kids' practices... work... and the list goes on. BUT 'this too shall pass' and we will be excited when we get to the end of it all. :cheer2:

I am excited about our WDW trip still! I did have a nightmare last night though. I dreamed I failed to make our ADR's or buy tickets to MVMCP and remembered while we were standing in Magic Kingdom wondering how we could fix that mistake!! :rotfl2: So relieved to wake up and realize I was just dreaming!!!

Anyway - just checking in with everyone! Not posting a lot but definitely staying up to date with all of you and trying to keep you up to date on us! Have a teriffic week everyone!! :goodvibes

I thought this only happened at my house!

I am so happy for you that everything with the house is rolling so well! Next thing you know your going to have to unpack and then before you know it DISNEY will be here- your lucky you have so much going on the time goes quicker!

Hi! :wave2:
Just joining and catching up on everything! Congrats on selling your house and getting your masters! Talk about a busy year for your family! :thumbsup2

I'm going to Disney in December too, although a couple weeks earlier than you are. You'll love it. WDW is so beautiful at Christmas time. Can't wait to read more about your trip planning!

And no more Disney nightmares! Only good Disney dreams! :goodvibes

:welcome:

So glad to have you! I've been very random here lately but as things begin to finalize themselves out, I will be back on a more regular basis!! Happy to have you along! :goodvibes

Hey shocky, you surviving the craziness???

Miss seeing you around here!

 Aw thank you! I'm trying to get back on here at least "once" a day to stay caught up and to help with my sanity! :rotfl2:

I am surviving the craziness. All repairs are done on house with the exception of the roof (which buyers are completing after we close) and 1/2 the chimney and 1 tiny 4x4 tile in the bathtub. :rotfl: We are getting there... I won't go into the hectic part of just getting the closing times scheduled!! DH is smack dab at the peak of his baseball schedule and it was an act of congress to get people to understand "Yes, he's a coach, but he HAS to be there at his games to COACH and these are play-off games... what they work for all season..." But all times are set, his principal is being really great about getting coverage for him to go to our 'special signing' for him... so if we can get packed, moved out, and old house clean, I will feel more like we are HOME. So long as there's food in the kitchen, the kids have their beds and clothes, I can take my sweet time UNPACKING! :thumbsup2

Fitting in my schoolwork next week is going to be hard though. I think I will survive this week okay? But my focus will be shot next week. I'm grateful I have a quiz and only two short papers due though... no huge assignment until the week after so that's going to be okay, too! :dance3:

And as I look at my calendar and see April has passed in a hurry... WOW! We are already into summer activity schedules and I've suddenly quit trying to wish away 2011 just to get to our trip! It's going to be a great vacation/reward after this crazy year! Definitely want to savor the 'looking forward to it' part! :goodvibes

:rotfl: YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW QUICKLY TIME IS FLYING BY RIGHT NOW! It's almost scary! After we move - we are heavy into our boys baseball season, still in DH's baseball season, and while July is a lighter month for us, it will pass in a heartbeat. And then it's back to school and literally just a few months shy of our upcoming trip! I can definitely say we will be ready for the vacation!

DH will finish up baseball season, have a couple of weeks off, literally, in July before football season begins, as well as for our boys, and boy those months fly by as well! So December honestly doesn't seem horribly far away until I find myself wishing it was TODAY! :lmao:

I hear you...all the end of the school year madness has begun here too! And you had to add a move with it! :rotfl: Does make the time go by faster!

You are so right! I was just thinking how the tickers are starting to show in the 7 + month range. It wasn't but a moment ago it was in the 9+ range.

For us, July will be here before we know it since we have so much going on. Then the summer and back to school... and then the SERIOUS preparation for the trip. It will truly be here before we all realize.

Your April is sounding like my May... imagine how my newspaper felt when I told them I had to have surgery... the weekend of regionals for basketball, when 3 area teams made it through... luckily I was recovered enough to go out the following weekend for semis.

People laugh when I tell them, but there is a reason I black out May every year. It's my month from Hades.

Fitting in my schoolwork next week is going to be hard though. I think I will survive this week okay? But my focus will be shot next week.
Write everything down in a little notebook, and carry that thing with you like it's your child. Otherwise, something will slip through the cracks.

Definitely want to savor the 'looking forward to it' part! :goodvibes
Oh yeah, you're definitely going to need the relaxation part!

Tell me about it! Here we are waiting, and then it's going to sneak up on us!

This will be my first year to see all of that end of year craziness because my one and only is in kindergarten- preschool wasn't that bad because he was given summer program! This year I have to find things for him to do!

I am so excited for the tickers to say that one month mark and then closer! It's exciting! How's the move going? I think that the repairs are done already, right? When do you finally move in?

OKAY!! I'm so bad!!! :rotfl: DH stepped out for a little bit... er... actually the truth is he is unloading some of our stuff at a storage unit we broke down and got to help with overflow and I'm sneaking on here to give a quick update. :rotfl2:

First of all - while the whole moving ride has been a little bit :scared1::scared1::scared1: we are through EVERYTHING, both loans are cleard for closing and all we have to do is sign the papers for both the sell and the buy and pay our $$$. That will happen on Tues/Wed of next week.

We are moving stuff out this weekend (because of DH's schedule) into storage, friend's garage, and we can move stuff into the garage of our new home after 2:30 CST on Saturday. :lmao: Just had to throw in the CST for you all!! Our buyers will do their walk-thru on Sunday - our poor realtor got stuck working Easter Sunday - seriously these people have proven to be a little bit more than what we expected! Explain that in a second... but repairs are finished and we are very excited to be to this point in this transition.

I do have all of my schoolwork done for this week - so I'm certain DH will unhook my computer in the next day or so... but it must be done. i won't be back on from a home pc until Friday, April 29th! But there's always my pc at work (I will work some on Mon and Tues) and my parents so I'm sure I will check in on Mon or Tues!! :thumbsup2

Now for the funnies... in regards to the repairs - all went very smoothly and we got our repairs done quickly, no surprises, all of the vendors who completed them were great! Now DH... he took on a few things to complete on his own... and while he did a great job he did have one mishap... :rotfl2: He was going to replace our bedroom door, bought the door, stained the door, sealed the door and somehow managed to knock it over in the garage just as he was going to put on the hinges and doorknob to hang it and it hit a chair putting a big ole hole in it! OOPS! So he comes in and tells me... this was on Tues. night - and all I could say was "DH - you have 45 minutes to get to Lowes to get another one to start over..." and amazingly enough - that new door was hung last night.

Secondly, and not so funny, I came home from work on Wed to find my roof had been stripped and a new roof was going on!! NO ONE called to tell us this! The buyer arranged it to be done...AND they unhooked our satellite dish!!! And it was AMERICAN IDOL NIGHT!!!:eek::eek::eek: So aside from the fact we got a new roof without knowing we were getting a new roof - I told the roofer to put the dish back up to which he tells me the buyer doesn't want anything on the roof to which I replied he does not own this home until 11:00 a.m. April 27th! Put it back up. They put it back up. :goodvibes

Crazy - have never heard of any home receiving such a major modification outside of repairs by current owner prior to closing! But it's done, looks nice, and hopefully no hail will come between now and next Wed. :3dglasses

And that's about it, friends! Going back to pack some more!! Talk to you soon!!! :goodvibes

Thank goodness!!! :rotfl: I would have serious issues if this happened on Survior night!

Here is wishing the craziness will settle down soon for you! :wizard:

Good luck with the move! Moving is insane. Last time I did (moved from VA to TX) I swore I would never move ever again! :lmao:

And I hear ya on not wishing away the rest of 2011. But can we wish away from now until June 1? So we can finally get our park hours!! :rolleyes1

Oh my goodness! Those buyers :confused3 Glad you got through it though!

Happy Easter!!!!

We did get through it! And I feel like a new woman today! We haven't closed yet (that's Wed) but we got a tremendous amount of moving done this weekend and the buyer's did their final walk-thru yesterday and were HAPPY! Something really odd... I seriously got the feeling they didn't know the roof was going on last week either. :confused3 Which makes me feel 'better' about them and think less of the roofing company. I think because we are in a week long downpour of rain (and have been since last Thurs) that the roofer could forsee the writing on the wall... get the roof done and get paid this week for it or put it off because of rain and prolong payment... I dunno... I don't care anymore... just happy that all of the crazy has begun to subside! :rotfl:

I promise, no more house talk except to let you all know we are moved and happily in the new home! Feel like all I've done is vent on here lately! :rolleyes1 So sorry about that, friends!!

I need you to teach me how to do multiple quote replies! Please!! :goodvibes

Oh thank you! We are so close to no more craziness and I'm feeling a little bit giddy!! :cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:
