"So this is love" - A Honeymoon Trip Report! (Update: 8/1) COMPLETE

I love Mary Blair! I wish there was more of her work available for sale; I love all her concept art (especially for Cinderella! I always associate them for some reason. I mean, I love concept art in general but she's one of my favorite artists).

I like the Mattel Merida dolls - the hair is so cute and curly! And a little bow and arrow! I can't wait to see the Disney Store versions.

Have you seen the deleted scene from Reflection? I really love it and can't understand why it got cut! It was a good length and really showed Mulan's personality, I thought.

Hi, all.

Not too much has progressed since my last update. I've been trying to finish my wedding trip report, so this has PTR been on the back burner.

But a few things that are honeymoon trip related:

•I went window shopping last week and scoped out potential outfits to wear for certain meals and such. I also really want to DisneyBound an outfit, so that's taking some creative thought.

•D23 announced the Boston Fan-niversary event and of course it happens to be the day we are leaving for Disney. I'm trying to see if we could go to the event and take a dinner-time flight or push our vacation back 1 day. We'll probably go with the later flight on our originally planned day, though, because it's cheaper. (Sorry, Jackie! )

•I've been researching more things we can do on our trip. I was thinking horseback riding at Tri-Circle D or a carriage ride. Anyone have any info, cost, or tips on these things?

•It's not completely set in stone, but my parents wanted to bring my 6 year old niece over to Disney on our last day of vacation. I don't know how I feel about this. I mean, I wanna see my niece and take her to the parks, but it's also supposed to be our honeymoon trip. A time to be alone and relax. Hmm.

I love Disney Bound! I like the recent Tower of Terror outfit a lot (the shoes!! also, it seems more doable/rewearable than some of the other outfits)

I love reading about the carriage rides (haven't been able to find the time to schedule one during a trip though). The information I've bookmarked about them is here for the carriage rides and here for the horseback rides (maybe 3/4ths of the way down, it's under 'Do they offer horseback rides at Fort Wilderness?')

maybe go over to fort wilderness for smokes and the sing along!

I would not want anyone joining me anytime on my honeymoon if it was family. Now other disbrides or friends then I am ok with it

Our honeymoon plans have shifted a little! I found out that the Boston D23 Fan-niversary event was going to be held on May 20th, the day we were supposed to leave for Disney, so I decided to shift our hotel stay by one day so we could attend the event! (I was lucky enough to get tickets yesterday! Woohoo!) I also added in a couple more dining reservations and events into the mix, so here is our new schedule:

Sunday, May 20th-
2:00 pm - Boston D23 Fan-niversary Event
Possibly adding a hotel stay down by the airport this night? We'll see.

Monday, May 21st-
Fly Boston to Orlando
Check in
7:25 pm dinner at Citricos

Tuesday, May 22nd-
Fantasia Gardens Minigolf
6:40 pm dinner at Sanaa

Wednesday, May 23rd-
10:30 am breakfast at 'Ohana
Downtown Disney
Dinnertime carriage ride at Fort Wilderness
Chip & Dale Campfire at Fort Wilderness

Thursday, May 24th-
Magic Kingdom - We have decided to go into the park for at least one day.
2:00 pm lunch at Tony's Town Square
9:00 pm Tomorrowland Dessert Party (I'm excited to have a dessert party that I can actually enjoy this time around!)

Friday, May 25th-
Typhoon Lagoon (Never been to the water parks, so I'm dragging Chris!)
6:05 dinner at Artist Point
Dessert at Ghirardelli (Meeting DISbrides, Jackie and Jennifer!)

Saturday, May 26th-
Breakfast at ASMu food court

I'm really excited--this itinerary seems to be the perfect mesh of Disney, relaxation, and fun all into one trip. I think this will be perfect for us. Only 65 days to go!

We finally booked our plane tickets! I've been tracking fares for 2 months and they just weren't breaking, so we went ahead and booked them anyways. I'm happy to say that we are arriving early and we get to depart later in the afternoon. I think we'll have to ask for a late checkout. And book a breakfast for that day...Off to see what's available!

•Thanks for stopping by! The D23 Events I've been to are mostly composed of artist lectures, which is pretty nifty if you like the history of Disney animation and such. You learn a little bit of stuff and usually walk away with free goodies, which I enjoy most! I hope you can attend one in the future! They are pretty fun.
