so tempted to get FP for wishes, should I?

Will the ttc be packed for fireworks like maim street? Sounds like a good idea. On our arrival day I believe we'll go to dtd for lunch and shopping and go to poly for dinner then to ttc from there ;)

We got a fast pass for wishes our first night. It was actually one we got after using all 3 of
Our other ones. It was a really good idea for us since it was our travel day and we were up since 5 am. I liked the experience of not having to worry about getting a spot and just being able to sit and relax

When offering good info like this, if would even be much more useful if you would provide the date on which it happened.

Gee, here I was thinking I could sit on that new synthetic lawn...well this really burst my bubble! Not to mention the annoying light saber. :guilty:
I went March 7th - 13 and they let us sit down. Heck there was even people laying out like it was the beach lol I guess the rules changed since then

This is good to hear! Hope we can sit on our Wishes night too.
Maybe it depends on crowds, but seems to me everyone would have a much better view if the crowd was sitting.
Sort of like going to a concert. If everyone sat during the concert, everyone would be able to see just fine. But when the standers start standing, blocking the view of the people behind them, then more, and more, and more people have to stand, until everyone has to stand for hours on end, watching a concert while there seats immediately behind them remain vacant. :confused3

Many guests are physically unable to sit on the ground.
(Or if they DO sit, they have a great deal of difficulty in standing back up.)

Also, if it's been raining...

Does anyone have a photo of Wishes taken from the current MSEP FP+ area near the flagpole? We did the MSEP FP last year and loved it, so I was planning to do it again this year. But I'll have to decide if its worth moving after the parade to get a better view, or if the convenience of staying put (plus being close to the exit when it's over) is enough to deal with a lesser view.

I booked our wishes FP for the night we arrive. We hadn't originally planned to park this day but I changed my mind. Our dd is 2 1/2 and last year we never got to see wishes because we were always too cranky by that time at night. Dh was disappointed we missed wishes and illuminations, so I decided we would use one of our 3 fp for wishes and get a 7 day ticket. I booked the first fp at 5 or 6 I think it is for POC then meeting Tinkerbelle for Dd and after that is our fp for wishes and DD gets to see Tinkerbelle fly! We probably won't arrive until around 1-2 at the resort so that gives us ample time to rest up for a bit, eat and get settled into the room.

There is a video on YouTube tHat reviews the spot perfectly. If you do a search for MouseSteps / JWL Media it should be the first one that shows up.

Oh my goodness, you have raised some good points, Robo. This Wishes FP is getting mighty complicated; there are issues with both sitting and standing. No easy answer when you look at the big picture. Well, if it rains we may get wet, but at least we won't get any grass stains from sitting the synthetic lawn.:umbrella:

How much better is it to see Wishes in person than from a resort? I know you don't get to see the show but it sounds like "seeing" it is questionable because of crowds anyway.

Frankly, I really enjoyed our wishes FP+, and I would book one again. Sitting and relaxing in a generally uncrowded place (no pushing and shoving, that's for sure!) was so nice!

Did Wishes FP East last night, Thursday April 23rd. Area was not crowded in the back and we had room to lay down while we waited for the show. CMs did not ask everyone to stand when the show started.

However, everyone stood anyway. We had to stand along the back fence in order to see. Our view was veryslightly blocked by the topiary in the center of the area. However we did have a good view overall. Exiting the park out the east walk, behind Main Street, was easy.

If I did it again I would sit on the railing in front oF the center topiary, maybe, or lean on the fence in the very back at the least obstructed angle I could find. I might try the very front by the railing too.

I'm not sure if I would use an FP for it or not again.

View April 23, FP EAST from back of area. This photo was taken standing with my arms stretched up as high as they could go, so well above my own head. :)

When you say you have to stand--was it to see the castle projections or was it because it was difficult to see the fireworks?

Sounds like you were towards the back of the reserved area next to the wall/fence. Did you like that general position or did you find yourself wishing you had been more towards the front?

We have FP for May. TIA!
