So tell me all you smarties with good days to go...

We're leaving the 29th of Nov (that's the Sat after Thanksgiving) and staying until the next Saturday.

We have 3 day park hoppers..I probably can't afford to upgrade but I MAY try. But assume we're working with 3 days.

What days are the best to go? I was going to do Sunday, but I had a friend say it was a bad idea...

I'd have to see the park schedule before I decided. But I'd definitely include one weekend day so you can get the longer hours and the full entertainment schedule. Then I'd do either Tues, Wed, or Thurs. for my other 2 days. Lower crowds those days. Plus you'd get a MM day out of one of those.

Well we get there saturday and leave saturday..sooo Friday right? Is sunday a weekend day? Is it full schedule?

For that time of year, I'd imagine you'd see a full entertainment schedule on Sunday. But the parks will be open later (likely) on Friday than Sunday.

"Full entertainment" that time of year is not normal, so you may want to avoid Sun altogether, and here's why. . .

The Believe fireworks will be shown nightly at that point, not just weekends. The Christmas Fantasy Parade will be running daily (only 1 time, but still easy to catch).

Fantasmic is under refurb, DEP won't be running, Aladdin won't be playing. The only real entertainment you might miss is the Pixar Play Parade in DCA. You'll have to decide if that parade is worth battling the larger crowds that day.

Also, it's predicted (but not confirmed) that Mon and Tues will be the CM Parties, which would mean the parks will have hours from 9-6. They will still have fireworks at 5:45 pm, but it makes for a shorter day. DCA will be open later on the nights of the CM parties.

Ok so we'll have nightly fireworks no matter what because of holidays. Sweet. That's great since my kids are so young, not sure if they'll make it too late (tho I guess it gets dark sooner in the winter)

When is the Pixar Play Parade?? I think I'm obligated to try to make this as my DS is OBSESSED with cars.

Maybe hit like Monday even with the CM party..cuz my kids are young anyway... then do like W and F?

I agree with DangerMouse. We are going the same week you are, and have gone the week after Thanksgiving for the past 3 years. We always go Tues, Wed, and Thurs, but last year we added Monday. And it was noticably more crowded. We like to go that week because the crowds are usually low, and the Christmas fireworks and parade can be seen everyday. We considered going on a Friday just to see Fantasmic, but eventually decided against it. (Although I do want to see it eventually.) But if it will be down, I would consider keeping it to mid-week.

Another reason.......if you plan to go mid-week, and then for some reason you don't make it one of the days (it has been known to rain that week), then you can skip a day and go on Friday instead.

Whatever you decide will be awesome.......you'll be in DL!!!!!

The "rumor" I heard was cast parties the 8th 9th. Fantasmic was supposed to be running again by then but who knows. Enough with the referbs already.
