at the GF? Thinking maybe it might be nice to do but don't know anything about it so fill me it.....

I love the tea at the Grand Floridian. My mother and I have done it several times, and we each have our own preferences. It's a nice way to relax and enjoy the ambience of the Grand Flo without staying there. Makes me feel well-to-do for a few hours!

The tea ladies are so lovely, and treat you so well, it is really a wonderful experience. I usually do the Grand Tea and leave completely stuffed with wonderful tea sandwiches, scones, strawberries and cream, etc. It's a lovely meal, and the tea selection is extensive. I prefer no caffeine, and they have a wonderful one, can't exactly remember the name, but I believe it has something to do with Princesses. Any questions, feel free to ask! :)

We are going to try it in 3 weeks because of a review from Olboyshoi...chech it out, she has pictures too...it is on the dining review page

How do you book your tea time? My Dd would like that slipper dessert so I guess thats the only place to get it so it looks like we will be having tea!!!

I called and made a reservation like any other TS place.

Ooh, we are thinking about doing this for our wedding reception luncheon-18 people!! I've never been there, but it seems so nice! :goodvibes

Could you recommend which option on the menu to choose? Did you find it to be too much food? We'll be having cake a few hours before during the ceremony. I like the idea of the tea sandwiches. Do they offer any salad plates? Do they offer herbal tea? (lavender is my fav!)

I would love to see photos! I can't seem to find their dining review-does anyone have the title or the link? thanks!! :)

Yes they have all kinds of tea, black, white, herbal, and so on.
It is lovely.

The menu is on allears.net. No salads. Tea sandwiches are the main 'food' and then lots of pastries and such. The trifle is to die for. Tea is dinner for us, we have a snack later but there is no way I could eat a meal afterwards. They give you a whole pot of tea (and I drink all of it)!

It is not a large area, so you do need to snag those ADR's early.

My daughter and I are planning on going to the tea on our next trip. We both can't wait!

Thanks!! I'll check out that menu.

What's trifle?

Could you tell me about more the size of this place? Is it as small as Beaches & Cream over at the BCR or bigger than that?

I wonder how tough it will be to get ADR's for a party of 18....we'll be going during value season (January). Preferably around 2pm or 3pm. Do they have a separate ADR hotline for large party groups or do you just hope to get lucky at the 180 day mark?

Bigger than B&C but not by a lot. This picture shows about all of it:

I booked 18 last year with no trouble, but they did make me use the group dining CM. If you call the regular dining number they can put you through to the group dining/grand gathering people to make the ADR. The time frame is the same, 180 days. You are fine as long as you book it about 180 days out- sort of like Chef Mickey's, you can almost always get your first choice as long as you book early but wait too long and it is booked solid.

They will seat you all near each other, but there is no way to seat everyone at the same table.

Trifle is a layered cream, custard, strawberries, and some sort of liqueur (I think).

Is there a tea that would be appropriate for my self,DH and DS4? I would love to do this and drag them along?
