Ok we are considering staying at DCR in Dec, this will be the first time at the DCR and are aware its a self drive but where do we park for the park?
How far is the walk from the entrance?

Do you have to pay?

You park in the main parking lot with the "day guests". It is beyond the train station, a bit of a walk but there are moving walkways to take you a good part of the way. You do NOT have to pay to park--just show your DCR identification card at the booth. Alternatively, you could park in the Disney Village parking garage which is closer to the park entrances, but you would have to pay there.

We loved DCR! Whatever you decide, have a magical trip! :goodvibes

That's right, and on the last day of your stay you're entitled to a 'Winnie Parking' ticket, which allows you to park right at the front of the car park (on the campervan side) :thumbsup2

That sounds interesting. We've stayed at DCR twice, and didn't know about this. What do we need to do to get one?

I've never heard of this either. :confused3

We didn't know about this in advance either.

The lady at the parking pay-desk noticed it was the last day of our stay and said as we had baggage in the car we should park in the Winnie zone, gave us the code to the barrier and we got parked about as close as you can get!

Same happened to us.

Next time we'll definitely ask though if its not mentioned.

I'm sincerely hopping you'll get the same favour but don't take this as a guarantee. That's a sort of a "magical moment" :rotfl:

Winnie parking lot is on a regular basis to be used by :

- disabled person parking when designated parking is full
- rather pricey cars (i.e. Porsche) -nothing to see with VIPs just considering car itself-
- a few spaces for Hertz and its "hourly rental service"

Hi sorry to jump in the post but we are staying at DCR next October and I wondered what time the car park closes as usually after the park closes we go to the village for tea and to do some retail therapy.

I would hate to get locked in the car park lol.

I think it will stay open very late as the majority of people who park there will be day visitors so Disney will want to keep them onsite to eat/shop etc for as long as possible

Hi there,

I'll do my best to contact my fellow colleagues tomorrow and will let you know. As far as I remember, parking exit does not close properly speaking.

The admission to the car park (toll plaza) closes 1/2 hours to 1 hour depending on the period.
