So so glad my cruise is not this coming Monday I would be beside myself
heard a fiend just caught covid ( but haven’t seen her since 3 weeks thank god
one of my co worker tested positive and I worked with her Sunday 😳
would à contact prevent us from going ?
would I have to cancel if only a contact ?
for sure I’ll limit our contact in the last month prior to cruising omg 😳 I was already minded todoing that
with co worker and friend I am even more
this is our canceled anniversary May 2020 cruise

Being a close contact requires having been within a certain number of feet from someone for at least a certain amount of time. I don't remember how many feet or minutes, but you could look it up. It isn't anyone you just said hello to for a minute or so.

A contact in and of itself wouldn't technically disqualify you, though I know many that probably would given the risk. The risk though, is the at-port testing. If you had contact/exposure, there's a decent chance you might test positive at the port and then you couldn't sail. Testing ahead of time would help you know, though the at-port test is currently the one DCL uses to determine if you're clear to sail.

If it's an official close contact (see my post above), it would disqualify. If you're a close contact, you have to tell DCL, they won't let you sail & then you get a refund.

Thanks for the clarification. "Contact" is pretty vague, but you worded it much better than I did.

I was with my co worker since we work close together and share small lunch facilities as ok now I am negative
Mind you this time around it doesn’t bother me too much as my cruise is only in May
But it gets you thinking glad it’s not close to my cruise
But

this is why all so limit my contact a month ahead of cruising but some things you can’t prevent dirk bring one of them
I would be so crushed if this anniversary cruise wouldn’t happen this will be our take two of our anniversary ( 40 th ) cancel from May 2020

this time around I am still far from my cruise
I was in close contact with my co worker and we share a small lunch / break facilities
