Are the risks higher (for things like this) for woman who are carrying triplets (or more) &/or women in their 40s?

Medically any pregnancy after age 35 is an "elderly" pregnancy and has higher risks.

This is very sad and also happened to my cousins second wife upon delivery of her triplet girls. She had delivered all 3 and was talking to her husband and said she suddenly didn't feel very well. They lost her almost immediately after. She left behind the triplets and a toddler.

It was a shock and extemely sad. However today the family is doing well and happy. The triplets are now about 7 years old.

My heart goes out to this family.
