Having heard Pete's remark about Coronado Springs, I thought I'd chime in. Let me start by saying I am not a big cheerleader for Coronado, I just happen to have had a pretty good stay there.
I attended a conference there. (Friends For Life - a conference for kids with type I diabetes and there families)
I will say that Julie is correct, things are about 300 miles away - well I guess you are close to some things far from others wherever you are located. I had requested connecting rooms, on check in couldn't get them, I know it is just a request. They moved us the next day to water view connecting - no charge for the upgrade to water view.
Otherwise, rooms were good and housekeeping was great. Both dining options were above average. Staff was friendly and helpful. Conference facilities were very good. Pool/playground area was a hit with the kids. Used the salon for pedicure (can't do that at any other moderate).
So all in all it was a good experience. If I was looking for a moderate (DVC owner so I admit I'm usually not) I would stay here EXCEPT for the long walks. If it wasn't hotter than the surface of the sun - maybe that wouldn't be so bad either.
I always respect your opinion Pete, as well as the entire team. Just thought someone out there may find themselves there for a conference.
Just my 2 cents in case anyone needs to stay there for a conference. Don't be scared.
