So NOW DL has low crowds.....

I was there Monday and Tuesday. Monday was a dream....yesterday was nuts. Couldn't believe the lines to get into DL at 9am. Lots of inaccurate wait times...sometimes less, usually more. Splash was posted at 45 minutes, walking out of Winnie the Pooh and there was no outside line...we literally watched right into the little barn thing in front...we waited maybe 15 minutes. Walking around, Fantasy Land especially, was like Christmas time crowds.

Glad I wasn't going crazy about Tuesday... that's why I posted pictures as many didn't seem to believe those crowds Tuesday... we couldn't either! If Disney is going to expand capacity, they need to hurry up and bring this new Fastpass (Lightning Lane) back as the parks are miserable with 60 minute waits... It does look like Wednesday was more like Monday/Tuesday with shorter waits.

We were there Saturday through Tuesday. Tuesday was NUTS!! We were glad we rode everything multiple times the first few days because the lines on Tuesday were unreal. Particularly at night in DCA whenever the wait time for Guardians went down you could see this massive surge of people head that way and it would be right back up to 70+ minutes again.

We are only going one day, and will be going this coming Tuesday. Fingers crossed it's not like this last Tuesday! It seems every other day this week has been fairly light! I know the admission price drops down a bit more this Tuesday which now has me worried.

Looks REALLY good today. So good I bought a ticket for a visit tonight. Probably, get to Disneyland by 5pm, which gives me 6 hours of park time.
We are in DCA today and we walked on most everything this AM. Except web slingers because the rise went down at least twice while we in the Que. it’s noon and we just walked on Soarin

It was really nice today. Not completely dead but it was much lower crowds then I would have expected on a Saturday in summer. Also lucked out with super cool weather (we never even had to put on sunscreen today!).

Was so glad we changed our 8/28 reservations to this past Saturday. Even with not arriving until 9-ish, there were no lines at entry and started off day with 15 minute wait time at Indiana Jones, which was closer to 10. Longest wait we had all day was 25 min for Dumbo, which we'd never ridden but did to try something new. Otherwise, was 5 to 15 min waits other than Guardians and RSR. (Former was 20.) RSR was of course still long all day, with shortest wait I saw 40 min, but we did single rider about a half hour before DCA closed as I love it at night and got on in 6 minutes! (Yes, I checked 😉) Between the cooler weather (super misty and overcast morning) and low crowds, I was so glad we used the second of our CA Resident passes before the Magic Key sale this week. We planned to go Sunday too as we stayed in a hotel overnight, but honestly were soooo tired and sore, we changed our minds last minute. Was still tempted to reverse course and go after seeing low crowds again at the turnstiles while shopping at Downtown Disney, but while the heart and minds were willing, the feet definitely weren't!

ETA: Friday night was the second time in a row now I've messed up at security. In July, I accidentally overlooked the mini swiss army knife on my key ring (it's tiny, the size of my pinkie) and had to surrender it rather than walk back to the car. This weekend, after already going through security 3x and heading back to Downtown Disney after dinner at the GCH Craftsman Bar, learned I'd left my pepper spray with extendable cable in my bag. (I carry it when walking the dog at home at night.) 🤦‍♀️ I must've seemed really distraught, because rather than making me surrender it, they made an exception and offered to let me walk back to the Harbor-side security exit so I could drop it at my hotel. Except they would only do it by calling another guest security person, so I can now say I've been escorted off Disney property 😂 (The security person was super happy as he says he normally doesn't get to walk around much and just chatted the whole walk back through Downtown Disney.)

Another slow day. Lets see what happens on Friday Night and Saturday.
We've been in the parks today and it's been fantastic. Longest wait was 15 mins for RSR this morning. Walked onto Incredicoaster, Guardians, Indy, POTC, and others. Taking a quick break in the room at GCH then back at it to enjoy the rest of the short waits.

Using my MK for the first time tomorrow evening. Let hope those crowds stay down for a bit so I can have some fun. It's been a couple years for me.

that isn’t reflected in the crowd levels, however
Eh, it’s mixed in there. An offsetting factor. A lot of people that wanted the mask mandate have kids (who haven’t been able to get vax yet) and unfortunately school is back in session now.

Not to bad tonight. However, you can tell MKers are they since Jungle Cruise has the longest line at 30 minutes.

Looks empty on the app and according to a friend I have at DCA.
I expected it to be much longer wait times in the app. Was the reduction in perks on the MKs causing less to go? I really thought a Saturday would be more crowded.

Magic Key reservations are sold out for the day (and for tomorrow). So this is what it looks like with the APs capped. Keep in mind, perhaps some of those reservation holders are planning to arrive later, but I certainly thought that APs being "sold out" would look more crowded than it appears.
