So my DVC friends....who has already booked or planned 2010 trips....

We're 'planning' Food&Wine for 2010 to celebrate my 50th! Of course, it's way to early to book anything yet.

My DH celebrated his happy 50 at BCV in June. He got a bunch of perks, so many that when I turn 50 I'm wearing my Happy Birthday 50 button everywhere like he did!

At check-in they had given us our room keys and I asked for him a birthday button with 50 on it...they asked for my DH drivers license and checked the date and then asked for our keys back, the CM had a side discussion with a 'manager' and moved us to an Epcot view room (we were booked at BCV on points)
Free dessert at 2 counter service restaurants (kids loved'em)
Free beer flight at the Wave (his favorite freebie)
Concierge worked hard to get him dinner at Le Cellier on his actual birthday(my favorite perk)
Free tube rental at BC pool (kids were hoping their Dad turned 50 everyday)
We got free fast passes for Test Track from a total stranger
and lots and lots of Happy 50!! wishes from CMs and strangers


We never asked for or expected anything. Each time it was a nice surprise. So wear that button, ya never know!

We are local to Central Florida and usually don't take longer than 3 night trips to WDW.

We may scrap all of the above in favor of an Oct 7 nt eastern on DCL.

I am really thinking right now of booking the Autotrain for Easter week

If I don't do it now, will probably regret it later. What to do, what to do......

(wanted to spend 4/5 nights at my in-laws at West Palm Beach and then stay an additional 4/5 nights at WDW). Decisons.....

After that, still not sure if we want to do a 5 night cruise (no 7 night next summer) or the members cruise probably in September.

We've booked our spring break trip, I'm a teacher and my mom works in the school system, so come April we need a vacay lol. Spring break also happens to fall on my 26th birthday so I'm super excited. We'll be staying at the AKV - Kidani in a studio from 4/6 -4/11.
and in a few days I'll be calling to book July 2010! Can't wait, love planning!

Well I just did it.

I booked the autotrain for 4/1 arriving 4/2. Plan is to spend 4 nights in Jupiter and booked 4 nights 4/6 - 11 at BCVs.

Planning a November 2010 trip in BWV GV for our family of 5 (incl new grandson), plus SIL, BIL, and their 3 boys. Never stayed in a GV before. Hope we can get the dates we want.

A short trip with my husband and his sister for her 50th (which is Marathon day) they are both running at BWV... and a weeklong stay at BWV in a 2 bdrm with my parents, DH and DD... should be fun!!

I have spring break booked in a AKV value studio (since it's premier season).

Not sure yet what to do about summer - we are still seriously considering renting a house in Vero for the whole month of June - if we did that, we'd end up doing bunches of short stays.

I'm kind of playing with a schedule that looks sort of like this:

May 30-June 1st - BCV
June 1- July 1st - rental in Vero with the following trips:
First week of June - Thursday at Disney's VBR
Second week of June - Sunday-Wednesday at a Disney DVC (BCV?)
Third week of June - Monday and Thursday at Disney's Vero Beach Resort
Fourth week of June - Monday-Friday at a Disney DVC (AKV?)

We'll see.

We have booked 2nights at BWV studio for May 5th-6th(but hoping to switch to BCV at 7 months.) Then going to USO for 2 nights then BLT Grand Villa for 5 nights with our extended family.

We also plan a trip for December 2010, but may stay off property to use our other timeshare. We'll see.

Then we plan to get back in April or May 2011 to make good use of our AP we buy in May. Then we'll have to be don for a year. We'll see. Maybe we'll work Disneyland in after that.
