It's a newish phone that was being charged. It has been charging okay other times.
But this time, after a several hours, I heard the warning beep for "low battery." I am fiddling with the wires, checking for shorts, making sure it's properly plugged all the way into the phone jack and into the surge supressor strip, the strip is indeed turned on. Everything seems fine.
Then I spot another hole on the bottom of the phone. Apparently, in my haste in the morning, I had plugged the charger into the earphone jack.
Why, oh why, would they make the two holes the same size? 
Anyone else do this?
