Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026

That’s a fun course. But my ankles are barking. Lots of sharp turns. Even had their own mini Contemporary hill. Lol

Was anyone able to walk to the start area from Disneyland Hotel via Downtown Disney/Entrance Plaza this morning?

Holy cow, the lines to get in DCA. Yesterday was nice at DL with the low crowds. Looks like today is going to be a little busier.

Correction, a lot busier. You know it’s crowded when they have ropes set up inside quick service restaurants.

If anyone is headed to the Expo today and is going to the Brooks booth, can you post if they have any of the white/blue rD Adrenaline left. Didn’t get any MW but now thinking I may try to grab a pair if any are left.

The whole balloon lady thing is just weird because the 5K is not timed and they never have them in that race. My mom was the last finisher once (at MK) and was on the course for about two and a half hours. Yes, they shortened the course and cut off characters then, but not until much later in the race. There were only a few dozen people impacted.

You'd think of they were suddenly going to enforce a shorter time limit on an untimed race, they'd have communicated it better. I'm not there, but everyone impacted seemed very surprised.

Oh wow, really? Do you not get a timing chip in the 5K? Have only done 10K and HM.

For today's 10K, thought everything went really smoothly - was really happy with the course, the crowds, and characters. Security was a breeze, and the course didn't seem to have any of the super tight turns or bottlenecks I've run into in the past.

For characters, I've don't stop so don't usually keep count, but it was enough to keep me entertained running by them! Completely missed Mickey at the end (was so focused on that finish line!) and didn't see him until we swung back to watch other finishers.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do a picture with all 11 medals? My wife didn’t realize I brought all the medals from MW with me. When I told her I was going to do a picture with them all, she asked how I was going to do that. Heck I struggle with the six at MW. I guess I could check last years post for ideas.

might be limited on the options but these could work with some finesse. find a railing you can loop them on and do a wide side shot or use both hands and waterfall the medals. we found that you can get 5 before you run out of strap in each hand. i have no idea how photopass did it but they had a prop waterfall with all 6 MW medals.

It is annoying that they do that, but the DLR 5K has always had a much stricter time cut off than WDW. They get everyone on the course much faster, and then basically stick to the 16 minute mile. I almost got swept last year when I left in A or B (I can’t remember) because we stopped at 1-2 character stops. I had to run around the pier in my crocs which I had worn as part of my costume lol. They also diverted the course then too.

Could it be because the California parks open earlier than the Florida parks? Both DL and DCA open at 8 am.

Daughter and I made it back to room around 6, grabbed some dinner, and have everything ready for tomorrow!

It’s definitely that, and the race ends in the park so after the finish there’s additional time to shuffle people out of there. I didn’t realize I had to get out via the Grizzly Peak area, was a bit weird.
