So Much fun for a Disney Fan-Ta-See onboard (fantasy) 9-27-14 Western Caribbean

GOOD MORNING cruise mates! Sorry I didn't get to the FE list last night. Late night at work. Anyhow, For those of you wanting participate in the Fish Extenders group, we will have a running list on the first posting of this group with the DISer's online name and cabin number (basic info will be posted here) the actual list will be sent via email and will be created. Please PM me if you are interested in participating with the following information....

DISer name
Family name and individual names if desired
Ages of individuals inside the cabin
Cabin Room Number
Any allergies
preference for alcohol (if it would be given would you like one)
email address
Example:

Disneylover
The Jones Family
Sue 35, Bob 40, Mary 8, Johnny 5
Cabin 12345
No allergies
yes
123@yahoo.com

If the list gets too large, we will split the group to help with luggage weight and the gifts. This helps with too many cabins in one exchange.

Sooo excited to see this group getting bigger and posting. :) Happy countdown everyone.

Hi Sue
What about cabin number?

Hi Sue
What about cabin number?

OOPS! Thanks for catching that error... :thumbsup2 Please be sure to include the cabin number as well! I did edit the FE posting to say cabin room number now.

Off topic, I have some questions for those of you who have been on a recent cruise from port Canaveral. The last cruise we took was in California so it is unfamiliar to me.
1. Can anyone tell me How strict the port is about port arrival times? And what is the EARLIEST we can show up to the port if we have the POT of 11am? The port has changed procedures with the new ships and the number of guests, so it is new to me. I saw a thread on somewhat of this topic but I have read conflicting answers. Some say you can show up early even with a POT of say 1pm and be able to get a low boarding number, yet I have read the opposite that the boarding numbers are given according to POT chosen. Can someone please clarify this for me? We are taking our own transportation through FLtours.com (way cheaper for the 13 of us than DCL transfers) and we can get there early. I would LOVE to swim in a nearly empty ship when we board. ;)
2. Any thoughts or reviews on staying at the Wilderness Lodge Resort? and by boat how long does it take to get to the Magic Kingdom? We are wanting to stay here prior to the cruise and go to the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party the night before boarding. You can enter the park at 4pm and stay until midnight for about 55$! I thought that was a stellar deal. Plus the party is way fun and we get to tour the new fantasyland. The only time we get to "dress up" and go to the park. DH and I are going as Mary Poppins and Bert. :woohoo:
Thanks, Mindy.

wilderness lodge to mk by boat is maybe 5-6 minutes, assuming you don't have to wait to long for a boat, we have never stayed there, but sure do like to visit it

do we really have 3 sets of people travelling in 3 straight cabins on our f/e? are you guys a group?

We are going to WDW this October for two weeks. We are doing a fishing excursion at Fort Wilderness. We are doing a split stay at AKL and BC plus a week at our off site timeshare.
We are thinking of going down early for the cruise next year as well.

thehowells- we are from Ontario as well. We live in Uxbridge. How about you?

Excited to get to know you all. Hoping you can introduce yourself and the ages of your kiddos( If any). Hoping there are kids on this cruise. It will be me ( Kim) my Hubby ( Bill) and our DD for will be 7. This will be our third cruise that I have taken in September. We are from Huntington Beach. Super excited!!

Here a vote for Disney transportation. Love it and staying at the Hyatt before and getting a day room there if you have a late flight. So easy, great ride and I love the luggage being taken care of.

Hoping you all are having a great summer!!

Hi! My original post is on page two of this thread, but I wanted to say welcome to the group! At the time of the cruise my DH and I will be 45, DH will be a mere two weeks away from 46 when we get off the cruise! Wow are we old! Lol We have a DS in the military who may be able to get leave and come along, he will be twenty, another DS will be 17 and getting ready to graduate High school in December, and then our youngest DS will be nine and very happy to meet and play with your daughter! This will only be our second cruise and we are so excited about it that I keep a journal of planning information next to my chair for making notes when I'm reading posts on here! We will be staying off grounds at WDW for five days before driving to port canaveral. My only worry is finding the cheaper Disney parking for the cruise. Last time we accidentally parked in the expensive parking! Oops. At least it was only a four day cruise so the price wasn't too crazy. ;)

Well looking into our shore excursions... I know Im crazy, but I am really looking forward to doing the inner tube floating tour on the river in Jamaica. This is what our family is going to book. http://chukkacaribbean.com/tour/river-tubing/#.UZOOWaI3uSo The price is much less than the one Disney offers and the exact same tour. :cool1: Anything to save some mooolah!

Love that your looking and sharing. I book most of all our tours off the ship.super busy time for me, so I love that your looking. Keep sharing.

Welcome! I'm expecting our page to start getting busier as we gat closer to our sailing date! I've been booked on this cruise since the date became available. So it's exciting to me now that we are getting to the one year mark. I wish you a lot of happy anticipation!

YAY! We have finally made a decision and are most likely adding this cruise to our trip next year. We are already booked on the Fantasy Oct 4th and will be adding this one to do a back-to-back instead of WDW. We'll be traveling with a different family on each cruise (lucky us, get to go on a super long vacation with our 2 favorite families too). We'll want to do the FE exchange for sure. This will be our 12 year old's 2nd/3rd cruise, and 2yr old's 1st/2nd. My 4th/5th (only 1 prior with Disney but we'll never go back to the other lines now that we know).

Also, mindy237 and meriweather, we also live near Ray/Gilbert. what a small world.

We LOVED our Dream Cruise so much that we rebooked for this one! Broke down and told the kiddos yesterday! Just TOO excited to do it again, and wanted them to be in on the fun as well.

Mindy327 I PM'd you, since we want to do the FE again! We had a blast with ours a couple of weeks ago.

We are HOOKED on DCL! Glad to be onboard!

Welcome to all the new people that have booked this cruise!!
We will need to have a AZ meet ;)

Sorry, I know I haven't been around much.....the cruise is still so far off and so many other things have been happening.
We have several Disney trips before the cruse and a couple of non-Disney cruises (but Disney is the best).
Waiting to book our room for around the cruise dates for when my window opens.

Hi everyone... We just booked this cruise last week after moving forward our december 2014 cruise.

This will be my (28) dh (32) DS (4) dd (2)'s 2nd cruise. We did the Pixar California coast cruise September 2012 and LOVED it.
We are from gold coast Australia so it's a bit of a hike for us to come over :)
We recently got back from visiting NYC and decided to only cruise from now on while the kids are young because of how awesome and easy Disney made it last time.

This cruise it will be the 4 of us as well as a 4 month old (I'm 5 weeks pregnant so not a sure thing yet)
My mum (56) my dad (56) my sister (31) my sister (25) and my brother (17)
We have 4 staterooms next to each other which is all thanks to our amazing travel agent who we actually met on here with our last cruise and have since visited them in California and stay in pretty good contact.

We def want to join the FE this year after seeing all the awesome FE holders and gifts last cruise when we didn't participate. We are on level 9 and I do have our room numbers. Have just forgotten them :)

My advice is make sure you have Very Verystrong magnets because otherwise your door decorations won't stick and you can't use sticky tape :)

I would love to be apart of the Facebook group as well as this really helped build great relationships.

So excited :)
Taryn
