First - fractured ankle & broken bone in foot. On our trip, it will be 6 weeks, so I may need a wheelchair (yea - different line!). Any pointers? I have read the FAQ's and the official DLR site.

Second - we have only been to Disneyland, not California Adventure. We are only going for one day and I am torn between the 1 day 1 park pass or the park hopper. It will be me, DH and DS 15 so we will only do the big rides, WOC and Aladdin. Yet, we love many rides at DL - Indy, Matterhorn, Space Mountain. If it were up to me, I would do both, but then we get into the fast pass issue for many popular rides at DL. Agghhhh!

Also, would the WOC picnic be worth it?

What to do, what to do??? :confused3

Consider renting an ECV so you don't have to be pushed all of the time.

Get a GAC and present it to CMs at attractions so you can be routed around stairs.

I'd get the hopper. Honestly if you are defitely going to DCA for WoC and Aladdin, you will be skipping a lot of the line for ToT and Screemin with your ankle. So you should cover the parks fairly well when you cut out some of the biggest lines. You probably won't be spending a lot of time in Bugsland. I'm sure you will hear space and Indy called to you.

WoC picnic, I think are a good lunch alternative. You can pick them up from 11:30am to an hour before the first WoC showing of the night. Just know the food is cold not served warm or hot.

As for the "big rides" - You can use either the FP line (with a FP) or the mainstream line in DCA. Everything is mainstreamed, so having the wheelchair will make no difference.

In DL - if you are using a wheelchair, you cannot use the FP line for Big thunder, Splash (at least before the queue change they are doing now), Space Mountain... There is a separate entrance for wheelchair users, and there is no real predicting how long the wait will be. During crowded times, it is not uncommon to wait as long or longer than the standby lines. HM, Buzz, Matterhorn are all mainstreamed, so nothing different with the wheelchair there.

Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the info! This will definitely help in our decision.
