So mad!

I've been home from our trip on the Fantasy now for 5 days. Since I've been home,

1. No one has spoken to me in an exotic accent.

2. No one has put chocolates on my bed at night.

3. No one has laid a napkin on my lap at dinner.

4. My drink isn't just waiting for me when I arrive at the dinner table.

5. No one makes towel animals every day and puts them on my bed.

6. No one has invited me to dance after dinner, to dance at a pirate party, to dance, PERIOD...

And the kicker...

7. Today after work, I was exhausted and thirsty, so I pulled through the ChickFilA drive thru. I ordered an unsweet tea and on a whim, ordered an Ice Dream cone. IT SUCKED. I was hoping it would be JUST LIKE the self serve chocolate ice cream on the pool deck, but NOOOOOOOOO!

So mad!
(and just having some good natured fun, obviously. i just miss the heck out of being on that boat!)

Yeah, totally got that. Mine is more like a mini depression than being mad...We disembarked the Dream on Sunday so I know what you mean...

My realities since I've been home...
1. Had to drive 14 hrs in Atlanta spring break return rush hour with a stalled semi, construction, rain, and several accidents and with a bad tank of gas that wouldn't let me accelerate up the mountains in Chatanooga... that was the reality that my 'dream' vacation was over..

2. Had to mow my lawn...ew

3. Have been living on hotdogs and what's available due to busy catching up and work and quite frankly pretty stinkin' tired to cook...

4. Been having a shot of exotic rum every night as an attempt to feel tropical again

5. House is a disaster...no one to tidy up...boo...

6. By far the worst, the family is a part again. Twinkie back to Washington State, us back to Kentucky, the rest of the fam back to Gulf Coast... although reliving all the incredible photos and experiences and messaging back and forth about it are helping!

I would so have my next one booked if I didn't have to worry about paying off this one and a camper and offroad dune buggy from last year and that crappy Carnival we took in Feb.. sigh...

We just get spoiled. It's true.

The first thing I noticed was not one raced over to take the knife and fork out of my hands and cut my kid's food! Hehe! . It's been almost 6 months since my last cruise and I think about that every time we go out.

We got off the Fantasy last Saturday as well...made an attempt to create the towel animals for the kids, not quite the same, my DD, 6 picked up the phone and ordered room service and it never showed...so could use a mickey ice cream bar right now...and yes, DS, 5 craves the chocolate ice cream from the pool deck, we have to go to dairy queen daily now, my wife purchased 4 frozen pizzas to try to replicate the pizza at Flo's. Good news is that I lost 9 of the 12 pounds that I gained while on the cruise. Also, tried to rehypnotize myself and sing One Direction That's what makes you beautiful daily.... 578 until our next cruise!!!!

We're four months post-cruise and had to book another to curb the depression! DD3 was going through her different shoes, indicating which were for church, school, etc. when she got to her flip flops she said "these are for going to the Mickey pool, the Goofy pool, and to get ice cream". Ran to the computer and booked right then!

Ahhh, I needed this laugh this morning.

There's no breakfast buffet in my kitchen right now. How am I supposed to feed my family???

One other reality - I took the cornrows out of DD8's hair last night that she had put in on the ship (had them in exactly one week...I thought we did good). OMG - that was one massive mess. She looked like Medusa.

We left my DS at home while we cruised when he was 8. We took the extra chocolates home to him. That night he went and turned down our bed and put chocolates on our pillow. It was so cute and he was so proud of himself when he showed us lol.

For some strange reason, dinners just haven't been as tasty since we got home. I think I need to fire the chef!

My DS is 2 weeks shy of 17. We went on our first ever cruise last August - a Western on the Fantasy.


DS keeps asking me when we're going on our next Disney cruise.


Did I mention that DS is almost 17? And he WANTS to go on a Disney cruise with his MOM?!?!

Was on the same boat with you. I only have one answer for you. Another cruise. We leave on the Magic 3 weeks from today.

After a disney cruise, eating at restaurants is never the same. The waiters don't know our names, cut our food, and talk to us. It's disappointing lol
