So yesterday i was at work from 630-330, and when i go out to my car, i see that there is a huge dent in the back bumper. I got HIT! and the person ran, didn't even say a thing. Now i'm stuck with a $500 + bill i have to pay for my car, which i have no fault in. My insurance decuctable is $500, so i'm not even bothering with it for now, that is untill i'm sure they will tell me its more later on. Im so upset because this isn't my fault at all , but of course i'm the one who has to pay. I really can't wait to leave on my vacation. Only 35 days away thank god.

Are there security cameras at your work? Maybe you could find out who did it.

Some policies will waive the deductible if it was a hit and run. Did you file a police report?

I had the same thing happen to me at the mall - I was PISSED - my van was BRAND NEW - I had only had it for 2 days!!!!!!!!

When DH's car had less than 5000 miles on it somebody hit him in the parking lot at McDonald's. He just went in to order take out food, so he wasn't inside for more than a few minutes. We had to pay our deductible even though it was a hit & run. The repair shop had to replace the whole back bumper - it was a pretty extensive amount of damage. Oh, well. One of these days something really horrible will happen to the people who hit our car, and they will deserve it!

My brand-new car (less than a week old) was hit when it was parked for a Cubs game. I'm thinking bad karma will come back to bite the person who hit me in the butt soon enough.

I was hit like this and my insurance covered everything - no deductible. Check you policy. Your may becovered.

Call the police, now if you have not already done so, and report it. They can't do anythign but the insurance company will want to know if you reported it.

Same thing happened to us at Target. We even reviewed the security tapes, but had parked at an angle where you couldn't see it well.
