So, Let's Have it: How Bad Were the Crowds this weekend?

Well, I'm leaving in less than 16 hours and I'm just curious... I've seen some reports in various threads saying it wasn't as bad as people expected... but just what does that mean??

Anyone have a report from yesterday and even today, maybe even a snapshot of the wait time boards for me? :woohoo:

I think once you get into the week things will be fine. It was Gay Days Weekend, this weekend, and that brings a fairly large additional attendance. Now that it will be over, it will go back to it's normal short wait times.

Make sure to check out all of Woody's Halloween RoundUp at Big Thunder Ranch. They have done the log cabin up for Halloween this year and even have a cool pumpkin carver doing Disney pumpkins! Don't forget to get the cookies!

Here's today's report for the afternoon at DL.

We got to the park around 2:30 today, knowing full well we would leave at 5pm. It wasn't bad at all. They shut ToonTown down at 3pm, as they brought Miley and her friends back there for staging and whatever. They did a very reasonable closing, back to front. They left the Adventureland - Critter Country area open the longest. Then, at about 4:30-4:45, they started systematically closing the lines on that side, with Jungle Cruise the last to down.

All the while they were setting up stages, overhead signs, giant purple Mickey ballons, etc. We even were entertained by Miley's band/house party band doing sound checks and rehearsal/background vocals prep.

Now, we didn't go over to DCA, but we did see the huge lines to get in at 2:30.

Not good.

Today had lines of up to 90 minutes at Indiana Jones. The actual wait at Haunted Mansion was 40 minutes. No line for Pooh. Looked like about a 20 minute wait for Pirates.

DCA was better. Plenty of Fast Passes for California Screamin'. Standby about 25-35 minutes. Long waits (50 minutes) for Toy Story Midway Mania.

Overall, unusally bad for a Sunday. Seemed more like a Saturday.

Bummpppppp... any other last minute reports before I leave for the airport in.. oh, an hour? =)

Wasn't the Miley Cyrus birthday thing yesterday/Sunday? If so, then crowds this weekend whether large or small are not a reliable predictor of crowds on other days.
