I believe only 2 of us will be going, are they going to be snippy/disgruntled about this? I have never had a bad dining experience in WDW as far as how we were treated by our server/staff/cm's of the resturaunt.
It was very hard for me to get this ressie, and Id rather not call cancel and then hope to ask and recieve a table for 2.

You could call and ask if they have a reservation for 2 prior to cancelling your party of 4 reservation. If it is available you wont have to worry about it that way!

Very true, I may try this we're leaving next sunday so if no luck Im keeping my adr for 4 and just telling them the other 2 couldnt make it, that should suffice right?

You could try this. I am planning on it, but haven't done it yet. I booked for 6 because I couldn't get it for 3 (1900 Park Fare). I called back another day to see if I could get 3. Still no luck, but the CM said that I could ask for a "decrease in party size" & they would transfer me to "dine help" to do that. I didn't do it yet, thinking that we may get people to join us, but haven't yet. I will let you know what they say if I decide to do that. Good Luck.

I had to call and decrease most of our reservations because my parents could no longer travel with us. The girl I had was great and it was no problem. I would call and ask.

1900 Park Fare is extremely accomodating, more so than any other restaurant. When you show up that day, just let them know you are down to two.

I never had any problems showing up with less people.

I booked our reservations (my niece and I and my neighbours) sometimes we were to be seated together 6 and sometimes 4 + 2.

Often I didn't know until last minute that they weren't going. I just let them know when I checked in. I did have to wait a bit, while they made the change to a smaller table.
