So just how bad is Everest?

I do get a bit of motion sickness. I can barely stand to do the backwards part. I feel ill during/after it every single time. I've tried closing my eyes, keeping my eyes open, keeping my head still as possible...but nothing works. Dramamine helps a bit, if I remember to take it prior. Since I usually go with only my DD to WDW, I do the things she wants, but I have to keep this to a once a day. I have a better time on RnR and not a problem at all on Space Mtn.

EE wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The backwards part was a bit dizzying as it pushed my head forward, but other than that, the drops aren't as big (or if they are, you bank out of them so they don't feel as bad).

RnRC hits you from the start, but after that, it's so smoothe, it was enjoyable (but again, keep your head back, especially when you start).

But a good part about EE, to me, is having part of it outside. The fresh air always seems to help.

I've never gotten motion sickness before, but I have to say after reading a lot of posts, I am scared to try the Mission Space: Orange Team ride. I've never been on it at all (no green either). I guess I figured like it was a 4D simulator like Star Tours, but apparently it is much worse.

So, you blacked out on Everest, but not on the much faster RnRC? That's weird.

EDIT: I don't mean that as a slight. Just one of those weird things.

I know! It is odd. I think it's the speed coupled with the turns after the big drop on Everest, whereas on RnRC it doesn't really take any fast turns, but just goes straight into the loop. I haven't quite figured out what it is about Everest (or other random, local roller coasters) that makes me black out.

Or maybe I just don't notice that I'm blacking out on RnRC because it's so dark. :thumbsup2

I agree with an above poster with bracing your head on the seat, I also plant my feet hard against the seat in front of me so it adds a better brace. No headaches for me!

I'm trying this next trip! I love EE, but skip it sometimes just because I don't like the wonky feeling I have for several hours after the ride. :earsboy:
