So it's been a while...DDP

Haven't been to Disney in a few years...I remember cashier's and servers seemingly being annoyed with DDP...Like I should know what I am doing and what I can and can not have...Is this still the case? Any tips that you all could share to keep me from looking like a fool? Is the service worse as part of the DDP? Of course I would think they would still work for the tip so I would think not.

We used the DDP for the first time in Feb. We had an exact opposite experience. I found the servers to explain it constantly. I felt like saying...yes, we get it...drink, entree dessert!

Even at the foodcourt at POR, the people always made sure everyone had what they were entitled to. They would send people back to get things.

First time we used it was in Jan. 05 when it was brand new. We found that many servers/cashiers weren't very familiar with it. We used it 7 more times and each time it's been easier and easier to use. The cashiers are now very knowledgable and will answer your questions. Many locations (like WPE and Boardwalk Bakery) have signs up saying what's included with a CS.

Oh good to hear. Are there certain items at CS that I can or can not have? Like can you get any combo type meal or are there restrictions on what you can choose?

I've never found any item (entree or combo meal) at CS that wasn't inc. nor have I read about one. That's one of the things I enjoy about using DDP. You can ordered whatever meal you want and not worry about things like cost, etc.!

We found that at many of the CS locations that by sharing a meal we still have plenty to eat and it leaves us with more credits to spend. We'll use these later in our trip for breakfasts and for food to-go-like when we go to the beach or food for our plane trip home.

Some of our favorite CS locations are at DTD and other resorts. Last year we ate at Contempo Cafe 3 times. Twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Dinners were very good. Breakfast was the same as at POP. CC is now one of our fav. We also have some favs inside the parks as well.

They are very helpful! Last year I stayed at Pop and we did breakfast there one morning. Generally we do TS and very little CS and when I do CS I get confused . Anyway, I thought my reusable mug counted as my drink and when I got to the cashier, she sent me back for two more drinks and explained exactly which ones I could get. She wasn't about to let me check out without getting what I was entitled to. I was actually surprised at what they included as a drink because some of them were the more expensive juice bottles etc. The servers at all TS restaurants asked if we were on the DP and which one and then explained thoroughly what we could get before we ordered. I would not worry at all about asking questions.
