On the flip side, for those with dairy allergy or intolerance who couldn't enjoy pineapple Dole Whip before due to dairy cross contamination from casein in the vanilla flavour, they can now try it! I, for one, am very excited for trying pineapple Dole Whip for the first time next month!

That makes a lot of sense. Dairy is a common allergy and food sensitivity. By completely removing it from the area, there is no worry of cross contamination. That totally makes sense as a business move.

I think all you vanilla pineapple lovers are rather nuts. It was not even half as good as the orange-pineapple and even pineapple-pineapple is better than the vanilla pineapple. It is quite funny to me how many miss it so much

As someone who has always known a "Dole Whip" as pineapple/pineapple, I have to question why not just go get a can of pineapple juice and a McDonald's cone and make the pineapple/vanilla one at home whenever you want?

I loved the orange/vanilla swirl- a few yrs ago during the Halloween party they had special "candy corn" soft serv which was the orange/vanilla soft serv so I wonder if they will do it elsewhere occasionally? that combo tasted more like a creamsicle. the orange they have at sunshine tree terrace now is more of an orange citrus, and not the ice cream that aloha isle had before. atleast that's what I have read and gathered from pictures- haven't been back yet myself to try it...

I agree, the orange at Sunshine Tree Terrace is not the same flavor product that Aloha Isle served.

I mentioned this in my previous post, but I remember Josh replied to comments on one of his blog posts some time back, and he said that when they changed locations, the "new" Aloha Isle doesn't have room for the swirl machines.

The part that makes no sense to me about this reason is the location Aloha Isle moved to (near Tiki Room) seems like a larger spot than it's old location. Is it just my imagination?

I always thought vanilla soft serve with pineapple juice was the only way to have a dole whip float until we went to DL....they only have pineapple soft serve with pineapple juice....I must say, after the 3rd or 4th day in a row I got used to it I'm just pretty stinkin' happy I'm going to have one of these in 2 weeks!!!
