...how do we identify ourselves to each other?

I'm really interested in getting in touch with other DIS'ers in-game. The trouble is, I'm pretty selective about who I put on my friends list, and I'm sure a lot of the rest of you are, too. I'm not one to just go "hey, I bumped into this person and recognise them as a fellow DIS'er! Let me ask them to be friends, even though they may not necessarily recognise me, too, and they might very possibly think I'm just one of those people who goes around indiscriminately trying to add friends I've never even talked to!"

So how's it done? Secret handshake? Klingon language? Where do I find you all? Clue me in!

heh, a couple ways.

1st, most of us have their vmk name (if the dis title is different) in their signature.

2nd, If I feel like i want to say hi i know you, I usually make a comment about something they may have posted

I have "I love Dis" in my VMK character signature. I think that should be ok. Because it is true I love Disney AND I love Dis too!

But usually I'll go to the hosted rooms by DIS members so obviously I know most people there are members too haha.

Yep! But I'm confused, do you keep like a bunch of them to like give them more power? Because everytime I use one it never works. I'm soaring_music Haha. I do the same thing LOL

If you follow your Dis friends into private rooms, usually the people in those rooms are all or mostly dis people. You can chat them up and see if they will accept you (or can fit you on their long lists) as a friend.

Thanks for the tips, all! I really appreciate them...it's hard to break the ice and still respect VMK values, which I'm very grateful for and want to enforce since they are in place to help keep the little ones safe, and I have a young son and little sisters (a lot younger than I am!) who also play.

Peri, you are on my friends list. We met in Central Plaza not too long ago! I don't think I even recognised you as a DIS'er at the time, either...just thought you were a fun person to talk to!
