So if there is a cancellation policy why are they not asking for CC info?

Sorry if this has been discussed. I am making ADR's and they are not asking for CC info for places like GFC but they are for CM etc. If they all have a cancellation policy now why are they not asking for CC info or giving the "$10 per person" no show/no cancel message?

Thanks!

I didn't need to put credit card info in either as I booked last month but when I went to my Disney account the reservation now has a cancellation disclaimer on it just like O'hana does stating I would be charged $10. I'm wondering if they would just charge your cc they have on file?

Those disclaimers have been there for a while now, even on ADRs that don't charge a non-cancellation fee.

I notice when I made some last minute ADR's DURING our trip Nov 10-16 they did not require CC info from me when I booked.

The new cancelllation policy and $10 charge implementation for all restaurants has been delayed. No new date was announced. The current policy remains in effect, so only some restaurants require the CC be on file.

Where did you hear that? The last I heard, the cutoff date for the new policy to start was Nov 19th.

That's interesting you didn't have to enter CC info for GFC yesterday - when I made a reservation for the Plaza yesterday around 11am, I had to enter mine!

I made some changes to our ADRs yesterday and today and they all required a credit card. In fact, it didn't grandfather clause me in. I was automatically changed by the system and all of my previous ADRs that were not CC guaranteed to cc guaranteed. That is why I went ahead and made changes yesterday.

So I had to put in a cc to make my ADRs on 11/21 & 11/22/13.

The new policy started November 19. It was supposed to be October 30, but it was changed to November 19.

If you make a restaurant reservation on or after November 19, or you change a reservation made prior to November 19, then you should be asked to input a credit card number for the guarantee. If you are not being asked to do that, it is doubtless because there is something wrong with the website (again).

No, they won't. For restaurant reservations, they do not have access to it.
