I think we all might need to get out a little more, huh? We don't even know each other! Sometimes you can't understand someone's tone when they write. They might be sarcastic, or a million other things, or maybe they don't express themselves well. Once someone apologizes, that should be the end of it. I swear, some people read the first post and just do a knee jerk reaction post without reading the rest of the thread. It's way too easy for people to say nasty stuff here. And if people are just looking for a reaction, why do we give them what they want?! Let's all just have some fun, shall we?

I'm on UK time! It's late here. The whole day's gone. And it only takes a minute to decide to change my topic

The time difference doesn't matter--the boards post it in whatever local time a person wants. Just because it posted it here at 7something AM my time doesn't mean that's when you posted, but the amount of hours between when you posted it and when I made my last reply was still the same (4-5).

The devils advocate thing couldn't be further from the truth! I actually posted something else a while ago about an essay or a class or something and got some very interesting answers, the only thing I thought was that people might have interesting opinions. Naive/ignorant yes. But doesn't make me an ignorant person full stop, just had a moment of thoughtlessness. it was a bad move but I really don't know how else to fix this mess to be honest.

I meant that the assignment was to play devil's advocate, not that you were doing it on these discussion boards. Like in debate class where you have to argue a point that might not be your personal point of view.
