OMG why the Hades did I wait so long!!!!!!
I went to Lisa's today for a crop and I brought my Cricut and she has a Cricut too, so I had my own private tutor to show me the ropes. My mom was also there and she has officially started her own Cricut fund for the Expression. LOL

So kiss my spending freeze good bye!!! I need cartridges! I'll take a pic later tonight of what I did.
If you do not have one, RUN, don't walk, to your nearest store and pick one up!!!!

$25!! Woman, get what cartridges you can for that price! See if they have any blades, the carrying cases, or mats dirt cheap too. Buffy's Walmart didn't have any Cricut stuff when we were there Memorial Day. :/

good for you buffy! so glad you like it. i've had mine since november and have not even taken it out of the box. i have like 4 or 5 cartridges just sitting on the shelf. and after the escapade with the crop a dile today, i dare not try today!!!!! i'm so happy for ya. i wish my walmart carried cricut stuff. everytime i go, i look. but nothing.
maybe i'll try mine soon!

I can't tell you how jealous I am!! I sooooo want a Cricut but DH really thinks I should get a Wishblade and I'm not willing to spend that much money on a single tool! LOL

As an aside - the quality of swap items has really benefited from the advent of the Cricut! The elements for the MK Newbie swap were gorgeous!

And I just found out this afternoon that one of our LSS now rents the cartridges for $7/week! What a great idea!!

here's my pics. I messed with the Cricut so much I only got 5 pages done today and 2 of them all I had to do was put the pics on.


This is my baby, I miss him! Sorry for the glare.

The font is George, shadowed and regular 1.5 inches. The bones are from the Disney font, regular and silhouette 2 inches.

A pic goes under the brads but my little brother is in it so I took it off. No Cricut stuff but it goes with pg 3.

The puppy face is from Animal Kingdom size 2 inches (I think) I cut the ear off with the camera but it really is there.

And yes that is me, the day DH and I left for Hawaii via Georgia (DH's home state). 14 years ago this month! LOL
The pic of him in the car and on the boat is on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry.

And then I called around to the Wal-Marts in the area and one had sold out of the ones on sale for $25 and the other didn't have any on sale. Makes no sense.

was the joanns sale only today? Darn it all too, I was at Mike's today which is in the same shopping center and J's. No wonder the parking lot was covered up, everyone was picking up Carts.

I read the title as "I broke my Cricut today" and my heart stopped! LOL Glad to know you broke it out, not broke it.

My little Jiminy Cricut, otherwise known as my teenage daughter, keeps telling me the only one I need to buy is the Mickey Font, and to quit looking at all the others. I saw on the cricut boards today that one of the new ones has a pirate eye patch, treasure chest etc. and I was all excited, and she was harping on me to quit looking. I think she's afraid that I may spend our WDW vacation money on all my scrapbooking supplies.
