So I guess 35% is the MAX discount this year?

So, here I was planning out a trip for August 2012 and hoping for a code (have gotten them in the past). 40% off deluxes seems to have been common the last couple of years, but now I see that the bounceback is offering 35% off.

Is it safe to assume that we won't be seeing 40% anymore? I don't really get it as the economy hasn't gotten much better...

That 5% does make a difference in deciding where to stay this time around (and who says we will get a code?). A public code may be for 30% based on what I've been reading...

Was hoping to try club level for our 15th wedding anniversary, but now it makes more sense to skip it if the discounts are lower. May even switch resorts.

I know...waa...waa...waa! Be grateful there are discounts and that I get to go at all! I know it, but still....:confused3

Yeah I am still waiting to see what kind of offers go out for August as well. I am hoping for a free dining, but I am an AP holder, DVC member (can't use points this trip), and a Chase cardholder. So even if they don't put anything out I should be good. But hopefully they do something sweet :D haha

I would assume so. Last year bb were 40%. The difference between 35% and 40% is really not that great. The only discounts that might be better are for Ap holders, military and those that work in the travel industry.

We are military and they only have posted rates until Sept. so far, but we are still eligible for 40% off Deluxe rooms. You are correct.:goodvibes 35% is still a great discount, better than what's available for my Dec. stay so far. Maybe you can cut other places?

35% is ABSOLUTELY better than nothing, but 40% would be much nicer :0)

I will take whatever they give me. So here's hoping they decide to give this year. I have calculated at 30% just in case. We were planning on a split stay, so we'd still do that except one of the resorts would change.

I remember already being booked for August trips at this time...c'mon codes!!!

Isn't the first part of FLE supposed to open Summer of 2012? I would imagine discounts will be reduced when they start opening up FLE because they figure more people will want to visit. So I definitely wouldn't look for more than 35% (if we have a bad hurricane season, you might see more in September, but I wouldn't count on it), and I wouldn't look for GP or even AP discounts to be offered as far in advance. I think until FLE is completely open and has been open for about a year, they won't offer as many incentives in advance - they'll be basing it a lot more on occupancy levels and may offer spot deals for a month here and a week there, to keep the resorts full.
