So I get to WDW and I have no money in the bank....

...and I'm trying to figure out if I can write a $2,200 personal check for my APs. Disney won't cash it until we get home so I should be ok. As I'm looking out the window of the Dolphin hotel room, I see into the lobby of the Yacht Club. There's a huge plasma screen broadcasting the fireworks from the MK live. Wow that's cool.

I'm still trying to figure out how to pay for my hotel....when I woke up.

What a nightmare. I couldn't go back to sleep at all. Perhaps I'm worried if I'll have $7,000 to pay for my trip this fall. Ya think?

I have had dreams right before going that I have gotten there and forgotten my clothes...

But the worst was when I dreamt I had forgotten one of my kids (wishful thinking perhaps ) and had to spend 2 days flying back and forth to get her and was mad that hubby got to stay and have fun....!

That dream actually happended to Mandy and I while we were on vacation in Las Vegas 6 years ago. We went to an ATM and found our checking account was empty. Further investigation showed that 10 checks has already bounced! Turns out that Checkfree, who handled our elctric checking at that time, had made a tiny error and tried to pay our house payment 3 times that month!

We tried to relax and lived off our credit card till the vacation was over, but it did but a damper on things. Eventually Checkfree made things right, but they never even appologized for their error. Needless to say, we dont use them anymore.

The worst I've had is being at WDW and hunting all over for the camera because I forgot either it or some important piece to it.

Gee, do you think having the camera at WDW is kinda important to me?

Ew, that's nasty, but something like that DID happen to me when I was in Paris!

I went to the ATM towards the beginning of my stay, and NSF! Weird, because my records showed I had at least a couple thousand in there. What apparently happened was that before I left, I accidentally paid off my credit cards with the WRONG bank account. So, I had plenty of money in the account that I had no access to (no ATM card and no checks).

Luckily, I have multiple back-up systems (a.k.a. credit cards).

All I can tell you is get a few credit cards (sometimes they will be declined for no good reason, so I use more than one) and make sure you know your PIN in case you need a cash advance.

My recurring vacation nightmare involves not having a working camera -- HEY, that ALSO happened to me after I dropped mine into a toilet under the Eiffel Tower right before I was going up! Ya just gotta roll with it, I guess.

Take that $7000 and make a GREAT downpayment on DVC so you don't have to spend that much each trip anymore! Happy dreaming!

I have a Disney dream several times a year. A few days ago I had a dream I was at DL, and when it was time to leave I realized I didn't know where I parked, or what kind of rental car I had.
